the last 3 years would be 2006-2008. you cannot submit 2009, but can do your last paycheck (if it shows accumulation of paydays) or some have submitted the last 6 months of paychecks.

How come we don't include 2009? We filed in 2009 and not in 2008? But do you think you can include 2009 instead? I'm asking because in 2007, my income met the poverty guideline, 2008 did not meet, and now in 2009, i'm expecting to be above the poverty guideline again.

When you filed your taxes april 2009, you filed the tax year of 2008. The w2 you got from work is 2008. They usually mail W2's in december 2008 to make it january 2009 so u can file your taxes before april 2009.

in order to give proof for 2009 taxes, you would have to include a W2 for 2009.. which they will mail that in december 2009 for when u file taxes 2010. After all, since 2009 didn't finish yet, its possible you may get a raise (or lose your job..) and your w2 will have to reflect that possibility ;)

in all honesty, they only need the most current tax year. 3 is optional to show that you have had the steady income. you do have the option to wait until early next year to complete your NVC stage. i am not sure, but i think they will hold for 6 months before the consider it abandoned. how could you file taxes while you are still in the current year? that is where your paystubs will come in handy. they just want to make sure you are above the poverty line or else you will need a sponsor.

Just checking in, kids.

Congrats to the newly approved.

I was at therapy today. Broke out in tears in the waiting room. One suggestion the therapist had was to break target dates into smaller slices of time. For example, pick something between now and the anticipated interview (denial) date, and concentrate on that. I've sort of been doing that all along (have been using pay days for that purpose :star: ). If I had nothing to look forward to between now and a Visa, I don't think I could handle it.

I have an upcoming visit to look forward to. I'm going to concentrate on that, despite the fact that I'll be spending it in abject poverty :luv: . Can't say when, as it's a surprise for my husband, and he sometimes snoops in here.

No further along, really. We have an NVC case number. That's about it. People have been advising that you should try to get your NVC case complete before the 10th of the month. Obviously, since the NVC experience has been rather slow for us, we're not going to make that. So I'm anticipating *maybe* a November interview (denial).

I'm sure we'll all be together in the September NVC thread.

u june peeps are very lucky - count your blessings - especially the peeps from pakistan, I have no idea how you didn't get in AP..

the may thread is practically dead, june approvals are almost caught up with may's. According to Igor's list june has 15 approvals, may has 20.. I don't think any other month ever did this before.

It makes me kick myself for not waiting till june to file mine lol

Hey,

What do you mean you didn't get AP. AP comes after the interview. They better not be racist towards Pakistanis or anybody else, otherwise it won't be fair.

 i wish i would have filed in february when they were approving in a month :P we were very close to getting married on my february trip, but i wanted to wait some more time for our k1 to die, and decided to wait until september. however, we got tired of waiting, and plane tickets were cheap, so we got married in May

sorry for the story, i am sitting on a pretty boring training call :o

Kaushalia, I got married at the end of last year. We hired someone to do our procedure and the person was a fraud. We thought we already had a petition going on, but he didn't file anything for us until May. Isn't that pathetic. But whatever's over is over. Now I finally got my approval. Thanks to God everything is possible. You will get yours soon too!
