Hi everyone. Just got back from visiting my wife in Viet Nam and just fould out we got an interview date. It is August 7th. We are very excited but a little nervous. So, I've heard from people that with the email from NVC about the interview date, we can use that to get our medical exam done? If that's true, let me know so we can get things rolling.

Yes thats true...

you can schedule the medical once you get your interview letter.

we already did.

however try to make sure that is like 15 days before your interview date.

you always might wanna organize your stuff in hand like make sure that everything is in order.

you have your documents and pictures in order in case they wanna see something

go over your facts...dates and everything.

best of luck

Thank you so much for the informations. We got lots of documents and pictures, just need to organize them now.

You are correct, with that interview letter, your wife can go to IOM or Cho Ray and have her exam done.. It's really quick only takes one day and the next day you get the results. Good Luck Aug 7th.

Cool, I'm just getting ahead of the game and it's good to know things before I do would help me sleep a little bit better that's all. Thanks for your input. So How is life going with you guys?

Life is good, Just getting ready to go back home on Saturday. I can't wait to leave this country after being away from home for so long. The butt kickers is that I'll be back in Vietnam for work again in October and November, I am not really looking forward to that but atleast I get to be in America for 3 months. I'll start looking for a house next week and start to make some big purchases like a car.

So how was your trip visiting your wife, I bet it was fun for you since you haven't seen here in a while huh?

Good Luck with everything and I hope things go smoothly for you in the next couple of weeks.

From what we've been seeing at HCMC you should go ahead and do a timeline of your relationship. Been a good many RFE's for that lately.

Since you are CR1, did you claim income tax for your wife last year? If you do, make sure to send her all your Tax document for 2006, 07 and 08. I-864.

I claim my wife last year, with ITIN, so I did send all the income tax for her, and I also send her my NATURALIZATION-CITIZENSHIP. JUST ME.

good luck

p.s.

Help your wife organize her paperwork before her interview.

for example:

folder #1 = phone bill, chat logs

folder #2 = wedding pictures, friends pictures.

folder #3 = tickets, gift you send to her.. and etc.
