Hi Cyntralala and welcome to the VJ Canada forum!

It's not different from any other officiant really. I'm not sure what you mean by how long you should wait? Are you entering the U.S. on a K1 visa and wondering how long you should wait before getting married?

Plus, it would help if you could let us know where (which city or state) you will be in, someone may well have gotten married there and might be able to give you some idea.

:)

Try looking up marriage on the City Hall website in the city that you live in or where you want to get married in.

We are getting married at the Courthouse in Seattle, but I found the information on the Seattle City Hall website.

In Seattle you book online and they are available Mon - Thur and it costs $60 plus your marriage license. If you want to get married on a weekend and have the judge come somewhere else other than the court house it is $225.
