I-864- and tax returns

hmm....my guy being the ever dis-organised male in his batchelor days has misplaced some of his tax returns. We only have them for 2005 and 2004- so dont have enough that we need for the I-864.

What shall we do??

You can request a copy of missing years from the IRS for a fee. I've copied the link below for you with the information. I don't know how long they take to get back. I also copied the 1-800 #'s for the IRS so you can call them if you have questions tomorrow. Or bettter yet if your husband had his taxes done at a tax prep office maybe they can provide copies of his tax return and maybe even copies of his W-2's. If he can only get a copy of his tax return at his tax prep place, he can go to his employers for w-2's that still might be faster and cheaper.

Take a look at the new I-864. They are only asking for the most current return...2005. Others are optional.
