Now, she's trying to get me to listen to the Jonas Brothers. Not going to happen.

Nooooooo. Stay with the light, JG! Stay with the light!

Wacken, apparently Donny Osmond was my first crush. I have 4 older siblings who ALL listened to them, so I guess around age 3 I started getting all moony-eyed over him.

3 is 3, but my mother was in her mid-teens. :P Apparently, she sewed a pillow of his likeness (of Donnie, to clarify) and it's speculated this obsession played a role in her deciding to become Mormon.

Ha ha.....Last year, I took her to see the Counting Crows cause I love them. For her birthday, I bought her Jonas Brothers tickets and made her dad take her and 2 other screaming girls to see them. He STILL has permanent hearing loss and hates me!

Even at a young age......hated 'em

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

The original boy band:

Love the Monkeys! Monkees

I took my daughter to see N'SYNC when she was 6 or 7. I actually gained some appreciation for them at that concert. I admit, I didn't hate it.

Went through her Hanson stage. At least they wrote their own songs and played instruments.

Now, she's trying to get me to listen to the Jonas Brothers. Not going to happen.

Not the Monkeys, it's the Monkees, n00b :P

That was the true era of Boys Bands ---- Beach Boys, Stones, Beatles, ....

All the ersatz 1990s/2000s incarnations of Boys Bands are just pale imitations of Beatlemania.
