hi just curious about how much money you spend on your wedding?

When it comes to wedding I have always thought, I refuse to go in debt or overspead on a one day event for other people. If you think about it the wedding is for guests. You wouldn't have a big ceremony if it was just you and your spouse. Just my personal opinion. My sister wedding was $8,000. She still paying off the debt. My husband and I spent about $500 and it was very nice. Our American wedding will be small, nice and simple as well, however it may be just a little more. I'm not knocking those who have big weddings, because I have been a part of some of the most lavishing weddings, but personally I can't see myself spending as much as my sister and others.

VISA APPROVED!!!!!

Hmmmmm... for our upcoming wedding here in US...

We are spending roughly $7000....

Wedding Stuff like... my dress and shoes, his barong and pants, ring, invitations and thank you cards, souvenirs, pillows and cords, and other wedding accessories are all bought in the Philippines which is 15% of our total cost.

Then, 85% of our total cost is for the reception, church, flowers, cakes, photography, DJ and wedding make-up.

Expensive.... Yes!... But worth... we will be married once... that's for sure...

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

I can't even begin to imagine the cost. Way too much..that's for sure! I wanted the bare minimum, but he wants it all. He's never been married. (this is my 3rd). Sooooooo I'm doing it for him. Church is nothing, as it's the church he attends, (and mine once I move)but, flowers, reception goodies, invitations, etc. Photographer is probably most expensive. My dress...very simple, NOT really a wedding dress per se, but classy. It's being made...and the material was $2.99/yard and I needed 5 yards!! So probably my dress cost me about $23...LOL..not bad!! I guess we're looking at a few thousand....

Wow...i don't know the exact numbers.. but we spent nearly $15.000. That includes everything:) we had 2 wedding receptions.

One of the most important days in your life so what can i say? My husband been saving the money since the 1st time we met though, he just knew he will marry me someday and that requires big CASH:))) so he's been prepared.

Oct 2005 - met my baby

Dec 2006 - he proposed

Feb 2007 - K-1 filed

Dec 2007 - K-1 Visa Interview (denied), the reason: i was overstayed my previous visit in 2000-2003 (my bad)

Feb 2008 - I-601 Waiver filed

Sept 2008 - Waiver approved (K-1 Visa issued)

Jan 2009 - the Wedding Blessing & Reception (Bali, Indonesia)

Feb 2009 - Arrived in the US followed by the Civil Wedding & Reception (again:)

March 2009 - AOS filed

April 2009 - Biometric

May 2009 - EAD card in hand

Aug 27th 2009 - AOS Interview (approved, yaay)

Sept 2009- Green Card arrived in the mail...yippeeeew...(i want to sing of Your Love forever)

June 2011 - ROC filed

July 2011 - Biometric

Dec 2011 - ROC approved (Best Christmas ever, i must've been a really good girl this year :)

The wait would be unbearable but it'll be worth it. It strengthens the love, it attaches you even more to each other, it shows how your man would do whatever it takes to be with you, that he will never give up on you because he LOVES you!! All the waits, stresses, tears, heartaches, all the miserable feelings you feel along the way will be paid off once you get what you've been hoping for...oh and WITHOUT PRAYERS? will be like trying to start a fire with water, JUST WON'T WORK!

Our cost also included our honeymoon. Plus thanks to the generosity of our families we were able to cover the cost of AOS from wedding money rather than dip into our savings. We also had a Polterabend before the wedding and that cost is included.

Our wedding was very unique - a medieval themed wedding at a medieval village near here. The price included use of the grounds, an entire 5 course reception complete with minstrels and trumpet fanfare for each course :-) Our dear friend was the photographer. My friend was the minister. Another dear friend did our flowers for us. You don't have to spend a lot to have a beautiful and memorable wedding. Besides, honestly, it's everything that comes afterwards that is more important!
