It can take anywhere from a week or so to a month - not very consistent with NOA(1's). Doesn't mean your petition isn't in line with others - just means they're slow/inconsistent sending them out.

so you are saying that it doesnt mean that they will take longer on our petition it just means they are taking their time to send out the nao1's?

Your NOA1 date will be the date they received your petition and accepted it for processing. Probably a few days before they deposited the check. You already know your NOA1 date for all practical purposes. It doesn't matter when they get around to sending the letter.

Yes, we are saying it will not delay your petition. It is only a receipt letter. It really doesn't matter if you EVER get it.

Definately, it is just to let you know that they have recieved it. Nothing pertaining to time line or anything related to processing. Your check encashed is also a form of reciept. so no worries.

thank you very much everybody for everything.... so how long will it take to get my nao2? i thought it takes longer to get that?
