Hello everyone.

Just wanted to report in to say I have had my Visa interview date set at the London embassy for....

JULY 31st.

That's a long gap between submitting the packet 3 ( May 18th ), Having my medical ( May 22nd ).

I have already had my fiancee send me all her paperwork and stuff in perperation...

Now the long wait begins...

Has anyone else been allocated a July Interview ?

Gary,

You'll find a group of people bound for London interviews at this thread. I haven't seen any July dates mentioned yet. Did you put down any travel/wedding dates on the form IV-15? That often determines when London schedules interviews. Hit me up with a PM if that's the case... it is fixable.

Good luck

Bob

Congrats Gary!

I can imagine how exiting this is going to be! When I came to usa my interview was quick actually, they had the papers in front of them and they just asked me a couple questions about the spouse/fiance and looked at the money aspect and they acted like ####### but it was quite efficient....it was all good....we're still waiting for the noa2 over here as us April filers are....lol....take care and keep us posted!

Hi Gary-

My fiance sent his packet earlier then you but we sent the checklist on the 18th as well. I hope this means we will be hearing from them soon with a date.

Hi Bob-

Could you let me know how we could fix it if we do get such a late date. My finace put late May date but May is long gone.... :-(

Thanks-

White cow

Nice one mate!

Thats a long wait though. I had my interview 10 days after receiving packet 4 and i aint kidding when i tell you i slept like a bag of poo for that 10 days!!

But at least it gives you plenty of time to be thorough on everything.

Good luck with the rest of journey ^_^

Thank you everyone for your support.

White cow - I DID submit my check list with my packet 3 so lets hope you get yours on Monday ! :)

Tomaran - I have no doubt what so ever that the sleep problem will be awful too. It was bad enough for the medical examination.

as for the worry while I drove down to London from Birmingham and subsequent tube and walk were ... uncomfortable. I just hope that nerves dont get the better of me at the interview.

Part of me wants to ask for a closer date. Although I don't plan on flying over till Oct 3rd and get married a few weeks later, so there "should not" be any mad rush at the last minute. I guess I should let karma say its piece and use the time wisely to get every piece of paper checked. ... then checked again.. and again... OCD much? :)

Gary,

All will go well...Nigel's gonna take the train from Birmingham and we'll see how he's going to fare with that journey! Yes OCD gets to the best of us....is it OCD or paranoia...??? Maybe a bit of both!

Best wishes,

Allison.

nice ! congratulations.

did you specify a departure date or leave it open ?

strange theres a 2 week gap between our dates... this has me worried as to why

i didn't specify a date as we're applying for the CR-1, i assume thats why my date is earlier the embassy gets way more K-1's than CR-1 apps so i wouldn't worry to much mate.!
