Hi All,

I am listing the question I have for form

I-129F below. Please add comments.

1.) Part B-7 Other names used (including maiden name)How do they want the name(s) listed? Last, First Middle?

2.) Part A -9 - Names of prior spouses - and Part B-10 Again, how do they want the names listed?

3.) Part A-10 If I check "Birth in U.S." Do I need to enter anything else under this question?

Give number of certificate, date and place it was issued. - Do I complete this information as well when I check "Birth in the U.S."

4.) 13. List all children of your alien fiancé(e) (if any) Part B-13 Do they want the full address of each child? (they are grown and live

on their own).

5.) Exactly what do you put on the extra sheet of paper when there is not enough room to place the required information on the form?

5a.) Can I place all of the additional information on one sheet of paper, even if the answers are to different questions?

6.) One question on the biographic information - G-325 form: How much information and in what order do they want on place of marriage and divorce?

My other half has been married twice and we want to put this information down correctly.

I suppose it is better to have too much information if you have it, than not enough?

We called the 1-800 number for some clarification on some of the questions and they could not give us clear answers as there seems to be some legal ramifications if they give you an answer to a question???

Thank you in advance for your help.

Karen

Have you looked at the example 129F here on VJ? These examples and the Guides will help you with most questions.

Regarding names, just be consistent with the manner (first/middle/last) that you list them.

Regarding extra sheet, see the example form. Typically you reference the extra sheet in the answer area. No need for an extra sheet per question.

G-325 - give city/state style of answer for place of marriage/divorce. Again, refer to the example forms here on VJ

First, definitely take a look at this example form, it helped me A LOT!!! http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-129F-K3.pdf

1.) Part B-7 Other names used (including maiden name)How do they want the name(s) listed? Last, First Middle?

I always filled it out like this: SMITH, Joseph Mark

As in, last name in big letters, then a comma, then the first name, then the middle name.

2.) Part A -9 - Names of prior spouses - and Part B-10 Again, how do they want the names listed?

Same as #1. That's how all forms I viewed were written.

3.) Part A-10 If I check "Birth in U.S." Do I need to enter anything else under this question?

Give number of certificate, date and place it was issued. - Do I complete this information as well when I check "Birth in the U.S."

Write any info about your birth in the U.S. Do you have a birth certificate number? Write it here, as well as the city & state you were born in.

4.) 13. List all children of your alien fiancé(e) (if any) Part B-13 Do they want the full address of each child? (they are grown and live

on their own).

Yes! Follow exactly what the form says (view the example form I linked above). It asks for name, birthdate, country of birth, and present address.

5.) Exactly what do you put on the extra sheet of paper when there is not enough room to place the required information on the form?

If you are going to use an additional piece of paper, let's say there is one line left and you need 3 more? On the last line on the ACTUAL government form, write "See additional piece of paper attached". Then on the additional piece of paper write all your info, your name, social security #, date of birth, the question number, etc. That way it's easy for them to find & view.

5a.) Can I place all of the additional information on one sheet of paper, even if the answers are to different questions?

Yes, I did that. But I wrote all my information in the header & footer on the paper (I also signed it & dated it, just so they knew I wrote it all). But I went like this for example:

#B-13: Continuation of Children of Fiance

asdlkfjalsdjflksjdflksjfd

#B-14: Continuation of How we Met

asldkfjalsjdflksdf

Hope that helps :) Just give them enough information to find & view the continued question.

6.) One question on the biographic information - G-325 form: How much information and in what order do they want on place of marriage and divorce?

My other half has been married twice and we want to put this information down correctly.

Put exactly what you know!

Thanks to all of you that answered my questions.

I believe that once we have the initial first set of papers mailed we will be able to relax.

1. Sounds good, it is the usual way.

2. Same

3. Yes. Give the birth certificate number and city and state

4. List all. City and country for address

5. Be sure any additional sheets state exactly what question it is in answer to and lists the names of the petitioner and beneficiary. Use one sheet for each answer.

5a. I would not.

6. dates of marriage and divorce, city and country (Also add province, if any)

The 1-800 number is known as the mis-information line. You will not receive clear answers. The call is free, but expect to get what you pay for. There are no legal ramifications to our advice. They are afraid of attorneys, I am not.
