I found out that my citizenship interview was scheduled on 6/10 and I was told the letter was sent out on 4/27, but I haven't received that yet. So I am sure the notice letter got lost in the mail. Now I was told that I could make an appointment with the local office and have them reprint the letter or I caon 6/10.n reschedule the interview. I am currently traveling with my husband due to his job. So I would like to know the possibilities of still making to the interview

Can someone tell me that if the notice letter can be printed out right away or I will still need to wait for them to send me?

Does anyone have this experience??

Any advice is appreciated.

Only way to find out for sure is to go to your local office and ask them what you should do. It is the local office that issues the interview letters.

Make a infopass appointment as soon as you can.

The interviews are actually scheduled by the National Benefits Center on behalf of the district office. That said, if you can get an InfoPass appointment in time at your local office, I would suggest that. Trouble is that a lot of offices are booked up two weeks in advance, which would put you past the interview date.

I would go with InfoPass as first choice, but if you can't get an appointment in time, I would call the 800 number, select 1 for English, 2 for case status, 3 to report a problem with your case and then select the option for not having received a notice.

In the USA, subpoenas are handed in person, even trivial legal papers are send via registered mail with a return receipt, but extremely important legal papers like a one year extension notice are sent via the cheapest way, first class mail. Go figure. Did anyone here have to sign for their green cards?
