PROBLEM SOLVED!! It had to do with Yahoo and not my computer. Everything was installed properly, it just took both ends functioning properly, and Leidys thankfully went to an Internet cafe with a functioning webcam.

Yes, the box fan is still in place, cooling the tower, but it has only be 70 degrees all day. Go figure. :wacko:

I fought that issue with Yahoo for a month or so. Versions 9 and higher try to override your security settings, so that it can use its built-in security software, and then Yahoo installs its own hooks. Best to stay with versions 8 and below.

AMD processors are known to run hot. I have fixed the open case box fan issue by getting a better grade cooling fan for the processor. Get one that has a high copper content as it conducts better than the aluminum based ones.

Many of the econo boxes used the bottom grade coolers and they will cause problems once the ambient temps get much over 80F.
