In the lunch room, sometimes my coworkers eat sandwiches with chips in them. Usually Pringles but other kinds as well.

Anyone here do that? :unsure:

That's so weird! A friend of mine always eats sandwiches with all dressed chips in it... Some bologna, mustard, lettuce and all dressed chips... So strange! I'm to scared to try it.

I think they sometimes view chips as a french-fry substitute or something. In England they often put chips in sandwiches and/or eat them on the side as part of the meal too. I see lots of people in teh US eating chips as part of their meals as if they are a food group. Wierd!

I think they sometimes view chips as a french-fry substitute or something. In England they often put chips in sandwiches and/or eat them on the side as part of the meal too. I see lots of people in teh US eating chips as part of their meals as if they are a food group. Wierd!

:lol: My fiance's family does that! They'll have burgers and chips... I suppose its not much different then french fries, but still kinda odd, I agree. When I was in Italy I saw a lot of pizza with french fries on it... It was strange and It didn't taste that good! The fries were always undercooked.

Won't be a major food group when I move into Tim's house!! :lol:

I'm not sure if I've heard of the "chips in the sandwich" before. Guess it's just like when Tim looked at me funny when I ordered gravy for my fries!! :jest:

Ha ha, if you find it let me know. I have never seen that in my life (other then college comedy movies where they have nothing to eat but bread, beer and chips) and not sure what I'd do if I did...

No, I've never heard of this! I've heard of French Fries on hamburgers. As kids, especially at picnics, we would often get potato chips along side our burgers and/or hotdogs, but not on them.

Are Pringles even a potato chip?? :lol:

I would call pringles a mashed potato snack... rather than a chip. :lol: They mash the chips, and then bake them. That's why nothing tastes like a pringle.

I have seen and heard of people putting potato chips in their sandwiches.

Ahh it reminds me of the breakfast club when Ally Sheedy's character puts captain crunch in her sandwich. :lol: Love that movie SO MUCH!

I've been doing this ever since I was a kid. I just did it the other day. I don't know why :/

I love Pringles!

I know Catherine Zeta Jones does it, I think it may be a British thing for sure. I've never tried it, I prefer the chips on the side to get the whole flavour!
