Craigslist Stops Running Erotic Services Ads In light of recent controversy, including the case of the "Craigslist killer," the Internet classified service announced it was eliminating its erotic services category. What do you think?

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Apparently Craigslist was being used on a wide scale to facilitate prostitution (if reports are correct).

I say, if this is true, action must be taken to stop this "open market" of illegal activity, no matter what it is.

What if I started a free message board to facilitate the sale of drugs or illegal guns or any other items which both buyer and seller are willingly partaking in... would we expect law enforcement to turn their head there too?

Is there more to the story than what I have gathered from the headlines?

Iowa woman eschews Craigslist for elevator wall in prostitution case

MAY 13--With Craigslist today announcing a crackdown on classified ads offering sex for money, prostitutes everywhere will have to come up with alternative ways to promote their illegal services. However, the marketing scheme cooked up recently by one Iowa woman should not be copied. Samantha Jo Daniel, 18, was arrested last Friday after cops learned of a handwritten offer scrawled on an elevator wall in an apartment building in Marshalltown. The guerilla advertisement read, "Will #### for $," and included a phone number. Daniel was nabbed in an undercover sting operation and charged with a misdemeanor prostitution count, according to a police press release
