if you're a pet lover yes!!! ive got 2 dogs (hubby got them already before i came here) and adopted a cat at the humane society when i got here. love them dearly... i know its sad once we get here and we dont know a soul except for our in-laws of course and yet they have their own regular routine... sometimes walking is a hassle if its winter! hehe... its normal to be alone and sad coz after 3 months reality sets in and i guess the excitement has lessen... i remember when i first got here, everything was so nirvana, travel here and there, meet people, see places the oh's and ah's lol... 3 months later, i realized im alone in the middle of winter, hubby's at work and ive got no one to talk to... started crying at night if i remember my mom etc... then i get used to it... keep myself busy, could be internet, playing w/ my guitar, goin out w/ friends and family etc... chat w/ my family and friends everyday and my hubby understands what im going thru. he's been there for me when i feel sad over things i couldnt have like jollibee or mom's cooking

just stay strong... maybe you'll find a fil community there and meet friends along the way... keep the faith!!! God bless... soon enough you'll have your GC and drivers license and you could do more like jobs etc

Elementary schools, they are everywhere (usually within walking distance) and they love volunteers...... churches love them too and sometimes they are within walking distance.

I am a volunteer in a hospital and that makes me busy  Try to go out and look around there in your area that are looking for volunteers. Doing volunteer jobs will make you occupied plus you can help people pa :D

Try to call your family in PH every now and then.

Go shop.

Have a pet.

Do some gardening.

Buy Wii or subscribe in TFC.

Learn how to cook.

Clean the house and decorate it.

Enroll yourself in a class.

There are lots of things you can do for you not to get bored or feel alone. I know, it is very different here in the US compare in PH. In PH, pwede ka mangapitbahay, dito bihira ang ganun.

Go for a walk, it would be a nice exercise. Once in a while I go for a walk with our dog.

Sometimes I watch HGTV and my hubby was afraid that i will redecorate the house. I like modern furniture but he likes mission style. He's afraid that all his furniture will be gone one day. :innocent:

Looked around and might find something that might you are interested in it. Like what I do, I found a sewing machine at the basement. My hubby knows how to sew but only a straight line. He show me how to run the machine then I asked him to Jo-Ann fabrics and bought some materials for my pillow project as a start. As I learned how to sew, my hubby had some projects to do for me. He asked me to do a hammock for the car so our dog won't be slipped on and log carrier (easy to carry logs). He likes it!

Think of something what you want to do. Promise, you won't get bored. I do get bored but I try my best to do something "productive".
