I need help, my fiance got her fiance visa and we finally got married in the US. Now I understand I have to send everything again: medical exam, affidavit of support again?

The person that co-sponsor recently lost her job, my question is can I get someone else to be my co sponsor. I do not want to have any problem with inmigrations, since they have both of our affidavits of support. My other question is, can I send only 2 tax returns, i kinow it says 3 but i did not file in 2006. Do you think I will have problems for that?

Thanks a lot

You only need to send the most recent tax year returns for the I-864.

If you believe additional returns may help you to establish your ability to maintain sufficient income, you may submit transcripts or photocopies of your Federal individual income tax returns for the three most recent years.

So unless they want to see the 2006, two would be sufficient, and if they do, you will probably get an RFE requesting the 2006, and you would have to have a written explanation why you didn't file taxes for that year.

(you could even pre-empt that by providing this letter with your intial submission).

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Yes, you need to do the I-864 affidavit of support. You can use a different co-sponsor. You only need to send ONE tax return and make a statement of gross earnings for the other two. They have the option to ask for copies of the returns, so have them available, but it is not necessary to send more than one with the filing. I sent only one and was never asked about any others.
