How long does it take to receive GC in NY

I am trying to find out from those who had interviews in NYC (Garden City office) how long it took for your welcome letter and eventually GC to arrive. It has been almost three weeks and not even a touch on my file.

We were hoping on traveling to Canada this weekend but I guess that has to wait now. .

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

We just got our appointment letter today for Aug. 23. My wife does not speak "fluent" english and the letter mentioned to bring a translator if english is not spoken fluently. Does your wife speak fluent english or did you bring a translator? I remember our bio appointment, and more spanish was being spoken than english. Maybe a translator is not required at Garden City?

It can take anywhere from six weeks in my case to about eight weeks. And going there in person will not make any difference.

You just have to be patient. All the best.

i also had my AOS interview at garden city last may 16 and after 1 month and 8 days,my greencard arrived to me by mail....so probably yours will gonna arrived anyday from now.

We were also in garden city and in my case it took them 6 weeks until welcom email.
