AOS Filers - May 2009!

Hey guys..

went in for my biometrics today! Everything went fast and easy...

and of course I got the whole.. please allow 90 days to get your card in the mail!

We forgot all about the 90 days remembered how many times we have heard that before I actually had my visa in hand!

But it also made us laugh. I'm still amazed at how much easier the wait can be when you are with your loved one!!!

I am wondering if it helped me at all to go in early. I was one of the first May filers to get biometrics done, but I haven't been touched since, and many have got card production ordered.

I feel leftout!

Hey guys, another couple went earlier to the biometrics and got the EAD ordered 1 month after the biometrics were done. I am not sure that it is a good idea to go before your appointment, it maybe confused their computers ? You have a date and a time on your letter, why trying to walk in ?

Well, the reason why I went earlier was because we couldn't have made it for the scheduled date. And as others could walk in before we did that instead of asking for a rescheduled date (especially because it says too that they might not do it).

Maybe it messes up their system but I have seen a lot of people walking in earlier and all of them still had the usual timeframe.

I don't know if that is really the reason. If you check out the Timelines here in VJ there are a lot of people still waiting who had their biometrics a couple of weeks ago and others are already approved who just went some days ago. Maybe some cases just keep sitting on the bottom of a pile longer than others....who knows.

I don't think walking in early on the biometrics has anything to do with messing up the USCIS system. I went on my appointed time from my NOA for biometrics and I still was able to hear back from the USCIS via e-mail that my EAD card is in order and will be receiving it in 30 days. Nothing wrong with walking in early. I greatly doubt that the USCIS computer system is will have such a big screw up... if it was the case then it'll be a disaster and none of us will ever be able to get anything from the USCIS.

CONGRATS for approved APs, EADs and for fingerprints done!! Things are moving fast this month!

Hey everyone. Just wanted to pass along an update. We received my husband's AP in the mail on Monday. Was really excited to see that envelope...was hoping that it was the EAD (WISHful thinking) but it'll come soon enough.

I don't know either, if I could understand the USCIS system I would be happy ! I hope that you guys will get your EADs VERY soon to make a bunch of money

Yes me too. We have similar timelines. I check online status every day for EAD and AOS, but no touches. My AP receipt number still doesn't show up online
