How soon is it safe to divorce?

I received my permanent green card last October but my wife left me for another man and moved to another state while this was processing. We arent legally separated or anything but how soon would it be safe for me to file for divorce? We would have been married for three years in September this year but she is no longer living here and this state has a no fault divorce policy?

I would like to apply for naturalisation but know that I can only apply for it after three years while still married and if I am divorced when I apply for it after five, they would ask why and when I got divorced. Is this true?

You can file for divorce whenever you want to. Based only on the information you have shared, and assuming you are self-supporting, there shoiuld be no special impediment to naturalization.

As my wife has left me, she left the check book and bank card to the joint account we shared behind and the car we had was only in her name and what she left in so I have had to support myself since then.

I'm confused as to why she'd wait to leave as soon as you got your green card and then leave you with a checkbook and bank card. What was the benefit to her to leave at that juncture?

The longer it takes to introduce yourself the less you've actually accomplished

she left because she'd met a man online that she wanted to be with in Wisconsin.

Either way you will have to wait 5 years to apply for US citizenship.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!
