Hey!

So i know someone last week asked about there not being enough room on the form to write 2004, 2005, 2006 etc for dates of residency and employment as it adds a small "+" sign wihch then covers the date up, and I'm using the most up to date version of Adobe too! Any suggestions?

Secondly... for filling in the residency part of the form, if I was in the USA for 16 months on a J1 visa do i need to include where I stayed as i was living there, or as the J1 was only temporary (despite being over a year) do i not include it as it was not a permanent address?

Thanks!

Max

The + means you put more data then the form can show.

So, either you hand write it (not recommended)

Or you use an attachment sheet for the information that cannot fit. (recommended)

Make sure you have 4 copies - one for each page of the 325.

Include all addresses - no gaps. They look for that.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

If you can't fit it in the box (the '+') ....then print the form and write it in by hand. It's this way for all of us.

For things like employment/residence.. if you need additional space simply create an attachment and note that attachment on the form where you answer the question.

Fill out the address section as honestly as you can. If you were in the States on a J visa then state your residence in the States during that time period. Be sure to leave no time period unaccounted for. As a side note... and a just in case.... ;) be sure you do not have the home residency requirement with your J visa. This should be stated on your visa as well as the forms that accompanied it. If you do have HRR then you will need to file a waiver to overcome this stipulation.

Use the example forms here on VJ (link above) to help you fill the rest out.

In Acrobat Reader, go to the "Edit" menu and click on "Preferences". In the "Preferences" dialog, click on the "Forms" category. In the "General" box, look for the checkbox that says "Show text field overflow indicator" and turn it off. Click OK.

The form will no longer show or print the "+" sign, and the dates should be legible, more or less.

Thanks Guys!

Visa Pro Version works fine... I assume this is still acceptable in place of the one downloadable from USCIS? :)

Thanks again!

Is it really not recommended to hand write the G-325A? I hand wrote mine and I assume my finace will hand write his, too. We both have very legible writing so I didn't think it would be a problem. We haven't sent the package yet so I could ask him to wait until we've done the PDF copies before he sends it.
