When some one refers to a 'touch' it simply means that when they check their online case status (https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp) that the date of the latest update (fourth column) has a date after the original submission date. This 'touch' refers to internal processing done on your case. Some cases receive touch before they are approved while other do not (ie some cases are approved without ever being 'touched').

Also just an FYI for everyone that is waiting for their NOA2.

There appears to be a problem, or serious lag, in the online case status system. We received our NOA2 CSC 4 weeks ago (and the petition has been received by the embassy in Paris) and the online system still shows no updates for our case. The message still reads 'pending and received.'

Just an FYI.

Best of luck!

This is pretty common and lots of people go through the entire process without their case changing from 'pending'.

There are people here who are AOS approved and their petition is still listed as 'pending'

Edited for clarity... K-1 is a visa... I-129f is a petition to determine an alien's eligibility to apply for a visa at a US consulate in the future. Your I-129f is at Vermont... your fiancee will someday apply for a K-1 visa at the consulate in Kiev after determination of her eligibility.

YMMV

You probably haven't missed a thing.

"Touches" are largely meaningless, the majority of petitions get approved without a "touch". My first indication that anything had happened with our petition was the approval letter (NOA2) in my mailbox. The website still lists our case as "approved and pending"

LOL. Yeah seems to be. My wife has been here for going on 8 months, our case still says "receicved and pending". Fortunately the online update system has nothing to do with the real world of visa processing!

I see some people getting one in 30 days others getting it in 3 to 4 months? My lawyer told me that he just got one done in 4 months from sending it in to green card.He is was Amazed at how fast it went.He even said that they seem to be running this 129s a lote faster now.
