Hi all,

I don't typically print my photos in the traditional sense. We also have a lot of photos documenting our year and a half together. I have printed our photos on regular paper, two photos per page, ten pages.

I have hand written descriptions of each photo (they are in chronological order and provide evidence of our travel back and forth), and dated each one accordingly.

Do I have too many photos? Is using hand written notes next to each photo (in pencil) acceptable or unacceptable?

Also, I am a bit confused on how to assemble all of this. I just learned what a case file is. If anyone has a photo of their assembly, that would be great.

Oh yeah, another thing. My fiance sent her printed forms to me on paper that is of european standard size (not 81/2 x 11) but it is close. A bit narrower and longer. Should I worry? It doesn't make for perfect alignment with my paper.

Thanks

You haven't filled in your timeline so I do not know if you are asking about the petition or the interview. For the petition you need to provide evidence of meetimg om person ONE time in the last two years. Anything else is "extra". I used a two sentence description, one photo and passport stamps and boarding pass copies. Some people are of the mind to load up on evidence with the petition. It won't hurt anything, just increases the postage cost, and may be helpful in some consulates. Evidence submitted with the petition is forwarded to the consulayte for your interview and, Therefore, is "behind the counter" when you get there. They cannot decline to look at it. Before you send everything off, you can ask in the regional forums if the consulate you are dealing with is one that is good to do this with.

Clear photocopies are acceptabe. No such thing as "too many" photos. You will not be denied for sending too many photos.

Assembly is a non-issue. Whether it is the petition or the interview documents, your submission will be dismantled from whatever format you choose and placed into the format used by the USCIS (a secret more tightly guarded than the recipe for KFC) or the consulate. At the consulate they did it right in front of me, unabashedly destroying my perfect presentation! I was hurt, but we got the visa no questions asked and I got over it. :) All the extra stuff I brought, we just carried right back out, I do not recall that I regretted having it.

Now, I suggest paperclipping the related forms together and putting a binder clip on the whole works. Regular photos, like passport photos, can be protected in a plastic ziplock bag.

Using A4 paper size will not be a problem.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

Are you doing the original submission or the embassy interview?

Hello. Thank you for the replies and concern. To answer your question, I am just assembling the initial petition and I think I am VERY close to sending it out. So far I have:

- Cover letter

- I-129F plus question 18 supplement

- G-325A w/ passport photo (in tiny zip-lock bag) for myself

- G-325A w/ Passport photo (in another tiny zip-lock bag) for her

- All pages of passport, color copied (and enlarged to see dates) .. note: I think it is better than birth certificate as it is further proof of travel

- Letter of intent from me

- Letter of intent from her

----- EVIDENCE -----

> Cover page for proof of having met section (includes list of evidence that follows)

> A few emails between us (over the past year and a half) and several emails from my mother to her (the love each other a lot!)

> 10 sheets of of 8.5x11 paper with 2 photos each (spread over our year and a half together) plus captions (now printed, was hand written)

some of the photos are our families together on a trip to Italy!!!

> Some (4) but not all travel confirmations/itineraries from the airlines (don't have boarding passes or tickets or baggage claims)

> Engagement ring receipt

> Bank statements with proof of my transactions during two tips to Portugal and one of her trips to the U.S.

> Two cell phone bills (one page from each bill) showing communications early and late in our relationship.

I think I will bind them using two case file folders that look like this: http://thepushermanhunt.com/FilFolderGraphic.jpg

To mount I will punch two holes in the top of everything, putting the first seven items above in folder one, and the evidence in folder two.

I will label each folder accordingly.

Okay that is my plan. Any comments, concerns, corrections? I am worried because to me it looks like a slam dunk with the evidence provided yet I read some of the nightmares on this forum.

Thanks! (I will do my time line now, though it is very short).

No need to prove a bona fide relationship until the interview. You ONLY have to prove you met in person in the last 2 years.

Some people do say it doesn't hurt to "front load" with proof of a bonafide relationship. I tend to agree as I always went with More ammo the better!
