When travel to VN, what do you bring along when you have an infant or 12 months old baby?

Stroller? full-size or compact?

Helmet for baby? If yes, where can you get one? I haven't checked BRU, will do soon.

Anyone travel around Saigon with a baby on a honda? How that went for you?

Taxi is a prefered choice, but if you need to run from place to place without 1-2 miles radius... taxi could be very expensive and unpassible if you live in downtown Saigon as we do.

All suggestions are welcome, ideas will appreciated.

Rather than a stroler, you might consider a baby carrier, such as a Mei Tai. We used that for travelling with our twins (carrying one child each), and it was great because we didn;t have a stroller to lug around and get damaged, plus the kids were close to us.

I sure wouldn't bring a full size stroller to take to Saigon. Can you imagine maneuvering that thing on the street? I'd do an umbrella stroller at most. I really, really love my Baby Bjorn (see photo), but depending on the size of your baby and the relative sturdiness of your back, that may not be the best choice, either.

We'll be doing the same thing in a matter of months, let us know how it went.

I don't think it's a good ideas for putting your baby on the bike, it's not about your, but about the vnese rider. Specially the kids from VN.

Buy my wife a plane ticket and I bet she'd tote your child anywhere you'd like. :)

Whatever you do, don't let Top Gear boys near your precious cargo. The kid would be covered in duct tape.

Now I have Melrose and AnhMap convincing posts.

Will not bring the Graco Quatro Stroller (it's the Escalate of strollers) along. Will however bring umbrella stroller, bjorn and drop-ins bottle system. Also thinking of a small brita's water filtration system. Anything else guys?

And, NO TOP GEAR transportation method Anh Map :wacko::wacko:

A Bugatti Veyron would just be waste in HCMC. But maybe Oliver from the African desert episode would work.

Anh Map,

I think I'll stick with taxi cabs... still laughing in my head with comments from James about why people wear helmets cuz' they have got a small the brain, otherwise they would gotten a car instead. Something along that line....

Well, beginning the shopping spree for this trip... so far we got bunch of snacks for the kid, one stroller (small enough) that I think I can carry without much trouble. A Phillies baseball cap, and jersey, Col Hamels of course!
