actually the explanation is truely, my friend does taxes and he is the one who did taxes for me, and he thought that i still am using my old address as my mailing address, so he put that address, and when i told him to put my new pne it was kinda too late :(

I doubt very much this will be a problem for NVC, they only use federal tax return for income requirement purposes. As long as income meets requirement, NVC won't care about your address or residential history, as you are the petitioner and not the applicant. They will look at applicant's residential history closely.

But your state IRS might care about this if the address you are living at now is at a different city & state than the one on your return.

So it may be a tax issue, not a I-864 or DS-230 issue at NVC.

HSB, sorry to step in. BUT, NO, NVC does care about your changing address. It happens to a friend of mine before, as I did mentioned to my previous post. I am not trying to scare you, maybe you will be okay. Good Luck.
