OH...No problem, Just wait another 6 Months!!!!

Here is an email response to my inquiry after waiting 6 months. I called customer service and they sent a request to CSC and this email arrived a couple of days later. Are they kidding me??? Wait 6 more months and then give us another call? Really? And what does "actively" processing mean?

Yeah, I remember getting that letter, after waiting over 6 months, to call again in 6 months. Its heartbreaking, isn't it?

It sounds to me like you're stuck in the dreaded "security checks"

I know its hard to stay positive. Really hard. I guess all I can say is keep your chin up!

It looks like a typical 'don't call us, we'll call you' kind of response - doesn't necessarily mean it will take another 6 months.

Obviously this 'background check' they're doing is taking quite some time...

Oh it's one of those "Wait till you hear from us" routine, like what karin n otto mentioned above. Hang in there.

Mmmm we had one too!

The wait is awful & it's difficult to see a light at the end of the tunnel. No one at USCIS seems interested & it's so frustrating.

Luckily you have us VJers who know exactly what it's like & you can find comfort in that.
