Hello VJ Members,

Has any of you here have the same issues with NVC?

USCIS approved our I-130 (originally K-3) last March 13,2009 and received hard copy March 16,2009 and our our original approved petition has been sent to NVC. Since then we have no word from NVC regarding our case (NO CASE NUMBER YET) in spite of several phone calls.

However in the approval notice it says..........."please allow 90 days before calling NVC if your beneficiary has not received any correspondence from NVC.........." Should we wait 90 days and see if we get something from them? Well my husband made numerous calls to NVC but we get the same answer.....I still have my I-129F pending with USCIS and we are thinking of pursuing CR-1. Can anybody enlighten us?

What took them so long to give us a case number?....or at least inform us if we are on AP or RFE etc.....

Regards.

Speak to an operator and confirm if they have your case number or not. Also if you are checking the AVR with USCIS receipt number for I-129F the AVR is probably not updated.

Thank you guys for the encouragement.

Also I am curious about my I-129F which is still with USCIS and no approval yet, normally it gets approved before the I-130, any clue? It is nearly a month now that my I-130 was approved and 129F on the other hand still pending with USCIS waiting for approval...geez....so confuse here.......

thank you for your supports guys, highly appreciated.

Regards,

Rose and Dan

i would abandon the I-129 and pursue the I-130...there is a cost advantage of following a CR1 route compared to a K-3...and seeing how your I-130 is already approved and the I-129 is stuck in limbo.... FASTER...good luck
