Yippie - I received my oath letter!!!:dance::dance:

There's just one thing that's throwing me off: All the boxes for "what to bring" are checked, including "You must bring Reentry Permit or Refugee Travel Document". I have never applied for either one, so I don't have those. Is that just what they put on each oath letter invitation or is there some kind of mistake I need to clear up? I'm so close to becoming a citizen and I'm fearing this might be my last roadblock.:wacko: Please post your experiences.

Congratulations on receiving your oath letter, Stella08!

I don't have one yet so I am not speaking from experience, but I am pretty sure that is just a standard format they use. At my interview I was told to bring any immigration documents I have received in previous years such as re-entry permits. Well, I never had one of these, but they have ask, I guess  . I don't think you have anything to worry about. Just bring whatever you have from the checked boxes, and enjoy the ceremony!

CONGRATS STELLA!!!.... I got mine today too. It has that marked on there too and I don't have a re-entry permit or any refugee docs. The reason they ask you to bring it, is so that you don;t pass it on to somebody else and then they can use it .

Well, I guess since you're in the same situation as I am, this must be a generic letter. Anybody else who can confirm this, please let us know. :)

For most of us, your green card and the oath letter is all that you bring, spouse can tag along with a camera.

We saw that reentry permit and refugee thing too, we never had to get a reentry permit, and my wife is not a refugee, so just ignored it.

I think you need a reentry permit if you got kicked out for some reason and refugees usually come from a war torn country.

What they don't tell you at the interview is to be good until you say your oath, but I downloaded that form beforehand and told my wife to be good so she could answer no to all those questions, and I took an effort to stay alive during that period of time.
