Help, my money order for K1 fee got lost

Hello guys,

my fiance send money order for our K1 visa fee $455 to the person that works with our papers.He send it last March 23 from chicago going to Missouri but until now the money order did not arrived yet. I am so worried now becoz we suppose to forward our papers this week but the money order worries me. What can we do if in case the money order get lost?my fiance sent it thru USPS. Can we cancel the money order and reissue again?Would it be possible?Pls help me..im going crazy here.Thanks

How come he would send it to Missouri? If you are referring to the I-129F fee, wouldn't it be sent directly to California along with the petition?

Who is working with your papers????? And who would send it to Missouri? And when you say "last March 23" do you mean last WEEK or last YEAR. I presume last year as you would never know by now anything was lost. Was the money order sent separately? To whom?

Is this an attorney doing this?

1. Never use a money order, use a personal check as it is easy to track

2. Talk to this person who sent it, where did they send it?

3. Did you ever get a NOA1?

4. Check with the issuer of the money order, they can tell you if it was ever deposited, if not, it can be re-issued

If all of this was LAST week, relax it takes a little time to get in the system. If you sent it UPS they can tell you if it was received.

1. K1's don't go to Missouri, they go to Cali or Vermont. If it was sent to Missouri, it may have already arrived, but will need to be forwarded, which can take time. Go check with your money order company to see what they have to say.
