WES sucks thanks u very much. I didnt pay anythign for my evaluation from my College..I dont know what u should pay a shitload of money to these incompetent ppl.....

I don't know why it bothers you so much that someone else used WES without any problems? sheesh...! As I stated, the state board of education in our state REQUIRES an evaluation of all foreign-born candidates for teaching jobs and they only accept evaluations from a few agencies. They did the job, quickly and to the satisfaction of the board. End of story. Had he not gotten an evaluation, he'd have had to take courses which would have been a hell of a lot cheaper than an evaluation....NOT!

I think Frances makes a good point. Stewart needed his for college and that college only used two services...so be sure to check if they is a specific requirement for what she needs it for...

does that make sense? Feeling jumbly this morning.

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

I have some questions for those of you who has got their degrees evaluated (either by WES or other services).

Doesn't the university that you applied for do the evaluation themselves ?? I am planning to go to graduate school and my prospective college's websites don't say anything about getting your degree evaluated by third party for international students. They just mentioned what documents you need to submit, and they even accept copies or credentials made by yourself if your schools don't provide extra copies of original transcripts, providing you can show them the originals by the time you get accepted.

I am currently working (still waiting) to get my degree evaluated (due to my employer's request) and my employer chose IERF. There is "funny" thing that they do though, they asked me to ask my college to send the docs directly to them (even after I sent them certified copies of everything, issued by my college). I understood that they reserved the right to ask such things, it just seems strange to me that they ask ME to do that for them. I would think they will call or contact my college themselves and make sure that I am who I said I am.

Any comments ??

Up for this thread even if it's old.

I wanted to get my european bachelor evaluated by WES because I was considering doing a master's degree once I'm in the US.

I have 1/3 of my european credits that weren't scored because I gained them by professional experience. So I sent an email to WES to ask them how they do to calculate the GPA when a part of a diploma is like this, not scored but credits validated.

During 5 exchanges of emails, I felt like the person that was answering me was a robot ! The only answer I was able to get everytime is : "apply and pay if you want your answer" !!! I tried to insist and tell them that I won't pay before having the answer to my question. The question is pretty simple. But they kept on saying "apply if you want your answer" ! That's just insane ! At the end, I got so mad that I gave up.
