Does anyone know whether there are programs out there that can print the MSN Chat log?

Good afternoon,

I realize that many people have posted regarding the chat logs via Skype and Yahoo Messenger. However, does anyone know whether there are some programs that can print the chat logs for MSN Live Messenger?

I would like to be able to give the log to my wife on her interview. (Right now, I have to print the chat history, instead.)

Right now, line by line chat log will produce around 500 pages. I really need some condense version like couple of people suggested in Skypelogview. They printed only the summary with time stamp for each day.

Please advise. Thanks.

A text file is hardly "evidence". You don't need a program, just a system function. If you want to use the log as "evidence" simply position it on your computer screen as large as possible and hit the button labeled PRTSC, then open a word document and "paste". You'll see an image of your screen in the document. Rinse and repeat as often as needed to get the entire log in a single docuement.

Try what I said to do exactly and you'll see it looks quite different. It looks exactly like a picture of the computer screen because that's what it is. It can't be faked. What you just pasted in can be faked, so it isn't "evidence" of anything.

I think i can print 200 pages of them and they don't prove anything. He said to use printscreen and that can't be fake. How can you fake that? You can do a print screen even when the camera is on.

Just to be clear, I'm not suggesting printing 200 pages of anything. The question was about chat logs, not chat transcripts. Examples of the logs and a few transcripts are enough to show ongoing communication. A few screen shots with the webcams showing are good too. The ones we used were taken when other family members were on one or both ends of the conversations with us.

Here. I did it 5 minutes.

I'd get that personal information deleted but pray tell, what does your attachment demonstrate?

Anything can be faked, so perhaps "can't be faked" is too strong a term. Anybody can type anything it a text file. It doesn't mean the conversation took place and doesn't indicate with any surety WHEN it took place or between which two parties. For all anybody knows the conversation took place three years ago between another couple. Use find and replace to change the names and you've got whatever you want the text file to say.

Screen shots generally show dates and times. Again the question is about "logs" not transcripts of conversations. Show me a faked log in a series of screen shots.

If you don't agree that screen shots are better "evidence" than text files, so be it. My recommendation stands.

Good point. I'll ping the captain and get it removed. My attachment proves that screen shots can be faked just as easily as a text file. It might take a little more work to fake the screen shots, but it is easily done. The text file shows time stamps as well.

I could re-create a faked log pretty easily with a series of screen shots.

Done for 3 years or 10 years. Haven't decided yet.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

I wouldn't say a LITTLE more time but a text file could include something about time, not a "time stamp". Not only does it take more time to fake a screen shot, it takes considerably more skill. Without the skill, no amount of time will get it done.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

That's a good point. I still got nailed with 221g and I thought I had this figured out. You really never know what will happen with this process. Pushbrk is a good dude... I just like arguing with him.

Can I ask a follow up question? Does anyone here knows how to get a call logs in MSN? Everyday when I get home from work the first thing I do is open my computer, log on to MSN and call my husband through VideoCall and the call will be running over night until we wake up and go to work. We hardly type since we have a pretty clear voice conversation. Just like now I can even hear him snoring while im typing here. Anyway, I've been trying to figure out how to get our call logs on MSN. Any idea guys? Thanks!
