My poor Wife is "Theatrically Challenged". Her idea of a great movie is Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol. I found this movie painful to watch, though Bobcat did have a few good scenes. I felt sorry for David Spade, thinking that he may actually regret making this movie. That was until I read on IMDB that there was a rumored Police Academy 8 in the works, starring none other than the aforementioned Spade AND Steve Guttenberg.

I'm starting with E.T. the Extra Testicle. What should I add to the list?

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Good suggestions, other than the sequels.

The Deer Hunter may be a bit touchy. We did watch Platoon though , which finally got us to discuss the history of our 2 Countries.

Try watching movies about the 'american war' instead of the 'vietnam war'. They have a completely different perspective and while it is good for her to watch the american perspective it would be great for you and your relationship to explore both sides. Where in Vietnam is she from?

Pans Labyrinth was an excellent movie. I have to be careful how complicated the plots are though. Her English is excellent, but it has limitations.

Yeah you may want to hold off on the serious movies for now. Try Police Academy 3.

I've explored both sides, but I'm really not willing to talk about it online. I will say that I hold no ill will towards them and that their capacity to forgive and forget is greater than most.

She's from the Mekong Delta, which is in the South.

Just make sure to never show Godfather III. That movie should be burned.

How about:

Gone with the Wind

The Princess Bride

Flight Club

Edward Scissorhands

more later...
