Hi all,

Congrats to all who got Sign In Failed.

I have a short question. When NVC approves the process, who receives the Interview Letter? Both me and beneficiary? Or just beneficiary? If I get it too, do they email it to me, just as everything else?

Also, the interview itself... what do they ask? Is there a thread with interview questions that I missed somewhere on this website? Monty1179 above reminded me what I wanted to ask some time ago... Who has the final saying about the approval? NVC or the person who does the interview?

I've got a CASE COMPLETE as of today March 23rd

The NVC Operator said that they will issue the interview schedule before

April 15th for the Month of May. I am not sure if that only pertains

for US Embassy in Manila or all other countries.

The final decision regarding denial or approval is at the discretion of the CO. He may deny the visa and recommend that the petition (which was approved by USCIS) be revoked. Then it will be returned to USCIS who will either revoke it or reaffirm it based on the CO's notes.

Interviews for May will be presumably scheduled during 5-9 April.

You can read the interview reviews for your consulate. Will give you a good idea of what to expect and what kind of questions are generally asked.

The interview letter will be e-mailed to both, I presume.

after waiting for long time after my login failed i have case complete ,wow i am so happy ,i am done with nvc,now only waing for the interview letter, i am going to work really happy today.

Interview letter is emailed to both the beneficiary and the petitioner (my parents received email and also i received the email).

Interview for parents is very easy as per my experience and experiences i read about others......

I dont think the I-94 expiration date will not be an issue as it was stamped by the USCIS officials at the airport. You should be receiving NOA2 soon for your Mother, call USCIS regarding your father's case to find out the status and tell them that you applied both your Mom's and Dad's together and find out the status of your Dads.

I would suggest you to wait and process both the cases together at NVC and this way both of them will have interview together.

I called USCIS and reply was to average processing time is 5 months so I should call once 5 months is over for my dad's case. I didnot receive NOA2 for mom case and when I mentioned that USCIS told me to contact after 30 days if I don't receive by then. they will send duplicate. I thought NVC might have received my Mom's case so I called everyday but no luck on avr and today I spoke to operator and he told me that they didn't receive my mom's case yet. I should wait for 90 days ( that is too much ) once I get NOA2.

I think I am out of luck and I am one of those who get stuck in immigration process.

This is an excellent thread, and I got a lot of useful info back in Nov/Dec when my father was going through the IV process. Now he will be flying to USA soon, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a similar thread where first time entering at airport experiences are shared, particularly JFK. I would really appreciate if anyone can point in the right direction.

I did for JFK. There are only 5 but they are very brief like "it was easy" or "They were rude". I was wondering if anyone knew what to bring with, how long to expect, what the procedure is - stuff like that.

Just want to thank everyone for their time, there are lots of great and useful information on there..

I have a question, how often does NVC update their system; is it real time or once or twice day?

I have also send my check list and wanted to check “AVR” and “login process” but was not sure if I should try every other hour or there is particular time of a day that NVC update their system.

Just want you all to know that my mother is finally HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! with me where she belong :)she got here yesterday. lot to catch up on/with lol. it was a hard and long process but we make it. I want to thank everyone here for their support and good luck to those who are just started this. god bless

AVR is updated at 3PM and 10PM and another unconfirmed time in the morning.

The recent trend has been a LOG IN FAIL around 6:30PM EST.
