My husband no longer has a phone and when we get online, we do voice chat. So no records there. However, we send tons of email back and forth on a daily basis, I have photos and plane tickets from every visit, and I have email from his family to me. Also when he does call me with a calling card, the phone number shows up on my cell phone records, so I have that. You just filed your I130, so now is the time to start saving everything from now on. By the time your interview rolls around, you will have plenty.

I also think I did something really dumb last summer, I had been saving all the phone cards that I had used to call him but I had to move last July and storage was so tight I had to chuck a lot of my stuff out. I threw away the bag of cards thinking I wouldn't need them, but took pics just in case. Would this be acceptable you think...I really have no other way to prove this...

If you topped up any of your phone cards through your checking account (as I did), perhaps you can go into your online account and pull up a few of those times. I printed out a few of the times I topped up, highlighted the dates and sent those in with our petition. Also, if he saved any of his phone cards, he could send those, or make front/back xerox copies of them, sign them and send them to you (as my fiance did for me).

Just an FYI for anyone who voice chats through Skype, there's a program that will compile those lists of calls into a spreadsheet that is laid out like a phone bill and uses much less paper than a gazillion printscreens of the call history. We had a ton of calls, so the computer needed to be left alone for a while to churn it all out, but it worked well for us. Instructions are here. Haven't tried it in a few months, but as far as I know, it still works.
