Thanks guys, just to confirm though, I do not need to fill the form in even though I was mistaken and it does fall into the category "You are currently not in possession of a visitor's visa."

The electronic form is only for people traveling without a visa (IE Visa Waiver Program).

Don't they give you white blue or whatever is the color I-94 on the plane as well as the Customs form?

I had to explain to the flight attendant that no, I DON'T need the I-94 as I have the CR-1 visa - she gave me one anyway and I just left it in the seat.

Depending on the airport, either on the aircraft or at the departure lounge before you get on the airplane

YMMV

Just to clarify.

If you are travelling on Visa Waiver - You must apply for ESTA and fill out a Green I94W. You must also fill in a blue and white customs form (that has nothing to do with immigration)

If you are travelling on a K1 - You do not need to do ESTA. You need to fill out a White I94. You must also fill in a blue and white customs form (that has nothing to do with immigration)

Yes, you need to fill out the WHITE I-94 form and as usual the blue customs form. Ask your flight attendant for the WHITE I-94 form.

The immigration officials at your point of entry, will stamp your WHITE I-94 form and attach it to your passport and take your sealed envelope.

When I had my AOS Interview 2 weeks ago, the officer took out my WHITE I-94 form and added it to my STACK of documentation.

So The days of filling out a green I-94 piece of paper (commonly thought of as the Visa Waiver form) on a plane for entry into the US have ended. We now need to fill in an online request to enter the States, at least three days before travelling otherwise you'll be turned away at US immigration.

The form is called the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation form or ESTA for short. And here is the website;

https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/esta.html?_fl...A5-9D0721EFE754

My question is this, I will be travelling to the States in May on a K-1 visa to get married in June and was wondering do I need to fill this in, or will whatever is in my brown envelope I can't open contain sufficient information? My Concern is filling it in and not needing to and causing harm to my entrance to the states, or not filling it in and causing harm.

• You are a citizen or eligible national of a Visa Waiver Program country.

• You are currently not in possession of a visitor's visa.

• Your travel is for 90 days or less.

• You plan to travel to the United States for business or pleasure.

Can anyone please shed any light on this?

Cheers,

Shaun.

You WILL be using a VISA to enter the USA so wont be doing a VISA waiver. On the plane you fill out a WHITE I-94 card. And you will not be turned away for not filling out the online form. Edited by YuAndDan
