Hi everyone,

I have been looking after a stray/abandoned cat for a number of months after she showed up on our porch starving and with every bone showing - and nursing kittens. The kittens have grown up (they are feral, unfortunately) and Momma cat has now been spayed and vaccinated (before she started to have more kittens). She is a sweet 8 lb black and white short hair cat, friendly, quiet and well-behaved, about a year old. She has a black body with a white bib, 4 white mittens, a white moustache and a little triangle above her black nose - very pretty. She has green eyes.

I have been trying to find an indoor home for her as she really is so nice and deserves a family of her own to love her and care for her. Right now she is living on our front porch, and is completely housebroken and litter trained. We have 5 indoor cats of our own so are not in the position to take another cat in (nor is my husband interested).

Is there someone in the Atlanta area - we are about 20 mile south of Atlanta proper - or a reasonable driving distance from this area who might be interested in adopting a lovely little cat of their own? If it isn't too far I would be willing to deliver her, or we could make arrangements. I am really just interested in giving her a good home because she is far too nice to spend her life fending for herself outdoors. (Neighbours have said that her original owners moved away and abandoned her and 3 other cats).

If you want to see a photo please PM me with your email address and I will send it to you.

Thanks

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

nope - real deal - no money involved just an exchange - a good home for a free cat.

Have you tried listing the cat on craigslist? Or kijiji? If you try those, I ask for a small rehoming fee to ensure you'd get seriousl inquiries.

Good luck, Kathryn. It's great that you saved the kitty and I hope you can find her a good home. :star:

I took a look at Craigslist - I don't think I will be listing her there - there are already a lot of other cats available there and it was breaking my heart reading all of the sad stories. I find it so hard to believe that people will move into a home or a community that doesn't allow pets and give up family pets who they have had for 4 or 5 years! If my pets can't go, then I don't go. My husband knew we were a package deal - love me, love my cats!

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Anybody who is close enough to Atlanta and who is interested in a loving, adorable young cat, don't hesitate to IM me! She is still looking for a good home.
