On the I-485 just under the section for the I-94 # it has a section for "exprires on". Are they talking about when the I-94 expires or when the visa was to expire?

~ 09/10/08 - INTERVIEW - VISA APPROVED ! ! ! !

~ 10/17/08 - Arrival in the USA (JFK POE)

The I-94. The K-1 visa 'expires' once you use it to cross the border and the K-3 on its date of expiry. It is the I-94, however, that determines your legal presence in the US and that is the date they want.

so if your i-94 is expired but your visa is stil valid, you're considered out of status?

I'm confuse here. I thought it's for the visa so I put the expiration of my visa on that date.

Feb 07 - met my Dream Guy

Jun 08 - arrived in the US

Jul 08 - ♥♥♥ WEDDING DAY ♥♥♥

Jul 09 - Temp GC received

Mar 12 - 10 yr GC received

Aug 13 - Naturalized
