Hi I have a question. Do i need to send my marriage certificate along with DS 230 when i apply for my parent?

thank you

no, because the application (DS-230) is done by the alien or by the alien's agent...

I assume you are now a USC and have submitted the requisite I-130

YMMV

You do have to send the marriage certificate (of all ur previous marriage also if u r divorced). See the link ==> http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/in...age_certificate

I think this answers ur question:

Petitioner Documents

Applicants in the following visa categories are required to provide 1) an original or certified copy of their Petitioner’s birth certificate and 2) original or certified copy of their Petitioner’s marriage certificate from the Petitioner’s current and all previous marriages.

Parent of a U.S. Citizen who is at least 21 years old (IR-5)

Brothers and sisters of United States citizens (F4)

The petioner's marriage certificate has to be submitted with DS230. In this case, the OP is a petitioner, so his marriage certificate has to be submitted with DS230, without any regards to who the agent for the case maybe.

Marriage certificate of both the beneficiary and the petioner is required (if filing for parents). Did you read through that link I sent?

Hi I have a question. Do i need to send my marriage certificate along with DS 230 when i apply for my parent?

thank you

You only have to send in your marriage certificate if your name is different from the name on your birth certificate becuase you got married. You have to submit your bith certificate to prove your relationship to your parents. If you are filing for both parents then the birth certifcates needs both of their names on it. If you only have one certificate of each , the NVC told me I could submit those with one petition and put copies with the other and a note to the reveiwer telling him/her that you have done this assuming you are filing concurrently.

My Journey for my Parents ) IR5

(Please note we have taken our time and we could have gone faster with the NVC)

I have 2 petitions running at the same time, I have not posted 2 sets of dates because they have been processed either together or a few days of each other.

Beneficiaries Embassy-Cyprus
