1-1.5 months out is the usual. You can find closer appointments if someone reschedules/cancels their appointment.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

Thank you,

Any idea when dates might be available?

Happy holidays!

After the holidays? You could email them and ask, that might trigger them to open more dates.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

Hey prystine I dont have all the dates at the moment, but yes nvc sent everything to the embassy in stockholm and stockholm has also received everything.

my current problem is that they have not received my fiances payment for the k1 and i am waiting for the confirmation email.

its supposed to be sent the next business day, but it has been 2-3 business days now. i called to ask if they have it and they said no. so i sent them my proof of payment and now im just waiting.

How did you complete the payment? If it doesn't go through, try using card payment, that should work instantaneously.

Wow! The Swedish embassy seem to have gotten really backed up since they reduced the days that they do K1's on. I wonder if the reduced days are due to the new rules for ESTA that was introduced around the same time. I had an interview date within days of them confirming they had received my payment. I also paid at the bank and at day 4 I had to email them and ask if they received it because I never got the confirmation thing I needed to schedule an appointment.

thats awesome you got an interview so quickly! i think its just this time of year, i checked a few months ago and the interview was like within 3 weeks so i assumed that would be the case again.

for me the whole process was pretty quick. the only thing that took a long time was my fiances medical results. he had to take a sputum test for TB and wait for 8 weeks for the culture  results which were thankfully negative along with 1 month before that getting vaccines and all. (medical results werent ready and lawyer suggested i wait for them before scheduling an interview)

anyone know how many times one can reschedule??! i hear so many different answers!

I think it says on their webpage somewhere (maybe at the time you schedule your interview) that you can only reschedule once.

Yeah but that was in 2015 when they were doing K1's every day so it was much easier to find an interview date.

It will tell you when you open the schedule but I believe it says you can only reschedule once.
