I talked to the doctors assistant just now and they haven't sent the medical yet(!). She said they are doing that tomorrow. This makes me both nervous, angry and confused.

You will be fine, if they send it 2mrw the embassy will have it on time.

But I understand you are angry, you think they would have sent the papers ASAP

They took a really long time to send ours because labwork takes a long time to come back in Denmark and there were some holidays. It was fine, the visa got sent out when the medical finally arrived.

Summer has been great for us and it has finally cooled down to ok enough temperatures. My husband has his driving exam in a week (after waiting the 90 day minimum). The kid starts Kindergarten in 3 weeks and she is sooo excited! She is also taking swimming lessons outside every day. Our house still hasn't sold, so we are still stuck living with my mother crying.gif . Sell house, sell! Actually it probably hasn't sold because it was so hot inside the house that all of the candlesticks melted over and shampoo bottles were filled with super warm shampoo...

As much as I dig my in-laws, that would suck. Fingers crossed Nola!

Actually I think I live further north than you and the house is another 2 hours north of that! Actually, the problem has to do with the house's design. It needs way too much heat in winter and it gets way too hot in summer.

Hi everyone. My Norwegian fiancé has his interview in Stockholm on Thursday! It's exciting, yet still nerve-wracking. We're just ready to have it over with!

In the meantime, I'm trying to pull some ideas together for the wedding. Does anyone know any good Norwegian love songs? I asked my fiancé and he's clueless! :) I thought I'd ask on here to see if anyone had any ideas.

13 February 2013 - Sent I-129F to Dallas Lockerbox by Express Mail

Do you want songs in norwegian or just norwegian artists?

Is it for danicing or the cermony? There is a lot of sloooow songs...

I have no idea what kind of music you like but here are some suggestions (that have norwegian lyrics):

"Den finaste eg veit" by Hellbillies is a beauty of a love song and is commonly used in weddings!:) Fin=nice, lovely etc. Here it means something like"You are the most lovely person I know". Perfect both for ceremony and first dance! Would be my number one pick:)

Other suggestions:

"Du og eg" by Bjørn Eidsvåg Slow and nice song, beautiful lyrics.

"Bruremarsj fra Lødingen" Halvdan Sivertesen. Brur= bride, weddingmarch from Lødingen. Funny and upbeat, will appeal to "older" generations. Would maybe use it for dancing......

"Kjœrlighetsvisa" Halvdan Sivertsen "Lovesong"

"Gje meg handa di ven" "Give me your hand" I love it, but some people think it's for funerals..... But I know people who have used it for weddings.

Sadly not to many great songs in norwegian but there is a lot of nice ones in swedish he he.

Have more suggestions if you only want norwegian artists!:)

I had my interview on Monday and everything went just fine. They had received the medical. So now I'm just waiting for my visa to arrive! Yay!

And yes, the lab works was apparently the reason for the delay at the doctor (Swedes and their summer vacation I guess)

Hi, yes I want songs in Norwegian. I'd like to have a Norwegian song at the wedding (since the wedding is in American and will be in English, I'd like to incorporate SOMETHING Norwegian into the ceremony, at least). His sisters and mom have beautiful singing voices, and I was going to ask them if they'd sing. I know I can ask them for input, but I want to at least have a few options on-hand--in case they can't come up with something.

Thank you so much for the suggestions! I'll go through them with my fiancé and see if we can agree on something. :)

Fiancé had his interview this morning at the embassy in Sweden! All went well and he should receive his visa within 2 weeks! I'm so relieved this initial process is FINALLY over!

Good luck to everyone with upcoming interviews. I'll write a more detailed review of the embassy and interview process on the appropriate VJ page, but as everyone else has already said, the interview itself was painless and quick!
