AOS-Vaccinations

I'm trying to figure out if my hubby is required to have a TB test done. Did anyone have this done before submitting AOS paperwork? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

For my husband, he brought his vaccination records from mexico. When he went to the fiance interview, they checked him for tb with xrays and stuff and he has proof of that. I know that when we called the civil surgeon to have his vaccines transcribed, they sent me paperwork and Tb was asked about. they asked if he has ever had it, or if he has gotten the vaccine for it. So i would guess its required. You might want to call a civil surgeon that works your area, (you can find the list on USCIS) and call just to see what the required vaccines are.

I think they only check the records he brought from his country!.

We didn't have a copy of the vaccination report when entering the country. So, our process was to find a civil surgeon that would only fill out the I-693 form.

In the instructions of the I-693 form, you only need to fill out the beginning section (Part 1) and the vaccination section for a K-1.

We found one civil surgeon to fill out I-693 form for 20 dollars. We had to have proof of my wife's vaccinations and being translated. He accepted all the information and filled out the form.

He never had the TB test done. He only had one Varicella. The second varicella is going to cost $100.00 and the TB is $40. I was just wondering if I could get away without having the Tb done since I know folks have been approved without it. I've decided to just get them all done and that way I don't have to worry about an RFE. Thanks

Sunny try going to the health department...their shots are usually free or very inexpensive.

I just came back from the local Civil Surgeon and she said TB test is not required. But she said the Td vaccination is now a Td-ap vaccination and is required (at least one Td-ap booster shot). Not sure if she was right on all counts.

My wife had to get an HPV shot because she is under 26. It costs $360 to get and the civil surgeon was $170! Grand total of $530 for her vaccinations.

Those prices are ridiculous.... It's so sad.

When I got my TD in Scotland, the nurse told me TD is no longer valid (for much of anything) it is now TD-ap, and with it you should get a booster shot anyway. Don't tell them you need it for Immigration or they will try bankrupt you! lol.
