hello everyone,

i would to ask,does my hubby needs to send in his 2008 tax now for the affidavit of support? or will 2005-2007 tax will still be ok?

02/16/12 - mailed I-130

02/27/12 - NOA1 petition received(hubby's birthday!)

06/06/12 - NOA2 stating I-130 approved

06/29/12 - NVC received case

07/09/12 - case entered in the system,assigned MNL # and IIN,email add given

07/12/12 - beneficiary emailed DS-3032, auto response received

07/18/12 - AOS fee bill/paid "IN PROCESS"

07/20/12 - AOS fee bill shows "PAID", mailed AOS package

07/25/12 - received AOS

07/25/12 - IV Fee Bill Invoiced, paid $230.00 "IN PROCESS"

07/26/12 - IV Fee bill shows "PAID"

07/28/12 - mailed IV Package

08/03/12 - received DS 230 packet

08/14/12 - sent RFE

08/16/12 - NVC received RFE

08/21/12 - log in failed

08/22/12 - case complete!

I didn't send my 2008 and was approved. I think because the taxes are not due until April they are not required.

2011-08-31 : Card in hand (184 days after sending I-751)

This is a FAQ between Jan and April every year, IRS return dead line is April, so current uear's return not required until after the deadline.

Include evidence of current income (Recent pay stubs including ones from December and before), Employer letter to show future income.

Noving this to NVC forum, Affidavit of support (I-864) for CR-1/IR-1 visas are requested and handled by NVC.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

I didn't send my 2008 and was approved. I think because the taxes are not due until April they are not required.

Since they are not required to be submitted until April you don't need them. As suggested - maybe byt he tiem you ge the interview it woudl be good to take them wiht you as extra proof.

If you have not filed the 2008 taxes yet but you include the W2 without the corresponding 1040 for 2008 (and 1099's if applicable) you may risk a RFE as they want to see the entire set of docs for each year you submit. Someone in Vj said they now have to wait until they file taxes and get the additional forms asked for because they submited the W2 for 2008!

Let's have him file for I-864 with Tax Year 2007 for now.

Then when you have interview with US Embassy, you can bring Tax Year 2008 copy just in case.

If I remember correctly, tax transcripts are not available until after June of the year... so 2008 transcripts won't be available until after June 2009
