The man in that picture ran on a platform of responsible government and no new taxes in California under the banner of being a Republican. Now, California is about to face one of its largest tax increases ever in the midst of a national economic crisis. What is with politicians? Is the power just so addicting you just can't bare to be responsible?

After years of seeing Republicans refered to as Nazis, Fascists, Cons (as in neo-cons), etc., etc. You get bent out of shape over "Dims"?

I have been a conservative independent voter for most of my life and I find it all hilarious. I hold both parties in contempt to one degree or the other.

So now it is time for the Dims to take a richly deserved thumping. Deal with it. We don't have Bush to kick around anymore.

Why, we aren't getting any federal tax increases and the feds are way more in the Red! Seriously, we do have to pay our debt and they are already cutting the ####### out of even things I'd rather not cut, but it shouldn't have gotten to this point and he's been Gov for too long to blame anyone else.

Its going to be a very dark time in California coming up. The economy will feel these tax hikes here. Already there are states courting California businesses they feel will leave. Forclosures are going to go up. There are another large round of homeowners with subprime loans that are going to mature that aren't ready- one person I know is looking at a mortgage going from $1500 to $3000 in June and their property value is less than half of what they paid. Not a Golden State at all.
