Can someone point me in the right direction? I am very lost after the NOA2. It says to wait until your fiance recieves package 3. What should I be doing? Waiting on the package like it says or mailing him stuff myself? Just don't know what the next steps are.....can someone explain. Thanks!

mail everything that you have recieved from USCIS...your NOA1..NOA2....pics, aff of support....look at the guides, it will tell you exactly.

then you sit and wait for your fiance to recieve the packet 3, take the medical and go to the interview

What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2): 1. A copy of the entire I-129f package (that you made when you sent the petition in) and a copy of information that you sent back due to an RFE (if you received one).

2. Send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiance(e) for their interview at the embassy.

3. Send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance(e) and your continued support of the K-1 Visa. Sign and date the form. This will be similar to the letter you provided with the I-129F, but dated much closer to the interview (it will have most likely been several months since you submitted your I-129F).

4. I-134 Affidavit of Support form. Ensure it is notarized (by a US Notary Public), with all required supporting evidence. Begin collecting the required information ahead of time, as it can often take several weeks to collect it all.

5. You will likely need at a minimum (for the above form) two to three of your most recent pay stubs and a signed letter from your employer listing you job title, start date, your salary, and the status (full-time) of your position. Begin collecting these ASAP after your NOA2 arrives. You will also probably want to include other evidence such as your banking information and other assets as required by the I-134. Specifically you will need at least 2 of the 4 options mentioned in Section II-Supporting Evidence of the I-134. See this FAQ for more tips and ueful information on the Affidavit of Support Form.

6. A copy of the NOA2 that you received in the mail.

7. Proof of your ongoing relationship. This needs to be taken to the interview! Include photos, travel documents, emails, etc from between the time you filed and present (NOA1 date-now).

Examples: Copies of phone bills, cell phone bills, emails (you can edit personal info with a marker), letters (edit personal info also), stamps on the letters (to document the date they were sent), and other written documentary proof. Provide a reasonable amount; two to four of each type. Pick a range of dates up to and including the present. You can also include a copy of engagement ring receipt (this is something that is a big optional - do not worry if you do not have a ring yet!)

Call NVC (800-375-5283) to find out when they shipped the package. Then call DOS to find out when is your interview (202-663-1225). Have case# and Dates of birth ready.

NEVER EVER sit back and wait for anything, unless you paid an attorney lots of money, no one should be waiting for anything (it is one of the "benefits" of paying attorneys, you get to wait more)

Go to the website of the consulate you will use, TODAY, when you filed the petition would have been better, but TODAY will have to suffice. Download the packet 3 and get working on everything NOW. He should have had his police certificate by now, as soon as you get the NVC case number, make the medical appointment. Get everything translated, there is lots to do and you should MOVE IT, MOVE IT, MOVE IT!!!!! Do you think anyone on earth is more anxious about this than you? Do it today and it will save you 6 weeks, minimum, in the process (3 weeks from NOA2 to consulate and 3 weeks to receive this packet 3, which you can receive today, and could have months ago) As soon as your documents are ready you can make your appointment. We made our appointment the exact day the case was in their files in Kyiv. When they hit the "enter" key on your case at the consulate, their phone should ring and it should be YOU making an interview appointment because you haven't waited for them to do anythiing except hit that enter key For what it is worth , my wife has her green card and the packet 3 is yet to be delivered to her flat in Ukraine. Our online status of our I-129f petition is "received and pending". DO NOT WAIT.

As soon as you have the packet 3 downloaded, get the papers you will need for the AOS so all those are ready before he arrives. We never waited for anyone and went from petition in the mail to green card in hand in less than 10 months and only OUR schedules delayed it that long. Could have been, minimum, 3 months sooner but for our own schedules interfering with interview dates, etc. Our interview was in August, ALL our packet 3 documents were ready in MAY, before we received the NOA2. We had only to make the medical appointment and I waited until the last minute to put the final figures in my I-134 but I didn't have to.

So no matter what you still have to wait on Package 3? I am still confused I am sorry. Can we make the medical date once we have all the info or are we still waiting on the Package 3?

Okay done....can someone answer that about the Medical and interview though. How do I do all this and don't have the Package 3 with where he gets the medical?

I have checked on here USCIS & Port of Entry Information and Reviews to get the information about packet 3. I read very often to go to the Embassy website and download it. The website for the US Embassy in Czech Republic (Prague) does not have information on a Packet 3. But VJ does! The other thing to consider is that the police report from Uzbekistan, where my fiancee is from originaly, expires after 3 months (from what I read most expire after a year). She already got her police certificate and it will expire in April. So we will have to get another one once we get our NOA2. As far as the rest of the information required for packet 3 it is all available here on VJ and it is very similar from one Embassy to the other. Sinergy gave a good list applicable to most anyone.

VJ has information on the medical requirements for Czech Republic. Dr names and numbers. The Embassy website or VJ will have all the information you need. Use the keyword search in VJ. The country name and the subject matter. i.e. Czech republic medical interview.. I know you are not going through czech republic but this is how i learned about what I needed to do. Try this for your country.

Ok I just got my packet 3 today , and I am confused... It says I need to fill out the online form DS-160 - which is fine, but the online form also asks me to submit a passport photo. I got four passport photos, so far, two I sent to my fiance to include in the K1 application, and I have two, NOT digital. Plus the form says I need FIVE passport photos

So.. does that mean, I need one electronic AND five "Identical photographs" ? which means, the other two I have, I cant do anything with ?

- should I scan one of the two I have and use them for the online application ? or wait till I get the other FIVE and scan one of those ?

I was confused to, but I got my packet 3 today, so I can kinda answer your question.

First off if you have already been approved, just wait for the packet 3 to come to you, but you can still be gathering all the required information so that you are ready when you get the packet (see the guides for what you should be gathering) You can not call and schedule and interview at this point or a medical, you will need to wait for the packet 3, then they will give you a list of approved doctors and what to bring, then when you have your completed packet 3 you can mail it back to the consolate, Then and only then will they schedule a meeting for you.
