Hello,

Is anyone from Mumbai Consulate got 221(g) Pending Letter and then received K-1 visa ?

If so, I like to hear from you what kind of Pending letter was for and how long it took from receiving pending letter to actually getting the Visa.

MY SITUATION:

My fiancee just received 221(g) letter asking for Additional Proof of Relationship on Jan 21 2009. Consulate didn't specify what specif proof it needed.

Anyways, we sent the all necessary required proof on Jan 27 2009. However, we have not heard back from Consulate.

We sent an email inquiry re: Case Status. And Consulate replied stating...

"Your case is in Administrative Reivew and it unable to tell how long it will take to process the case, it will try it best to process it quickly"

DO I HAVE ANY CHANCE OF GETTING VISA AFTER RECEIVING 221(G) LETTER ??

Please help.........................

02/02/2009----GOT medical Report!! (all Fine)

06/02/2009---- INTERVIEW!!!! RECIVED 221g REQUSTING TO SUBMIT MORE DOCUMENTS with PASSPORT

28/02/2009---- Submitted 221g Documents with passport

18/03/2009---- Got passport without visa stamped on it

19/03/2009---- Called DOS and they said embassy is asking for my daughter's Birth cetificate and Passport

01/04/2009---- 1 month of AP!! - NO NEWS--- from embassy---called DOS No news---_STILL WAITING FOR ANOTHER 221g FROM EMBASSY!!!!!!

STILL UNDER AP!!!!! very Frustated

07/04/2009---- Case tranfered to FPU(fraud prevention unit)

15/06/2009---- Embassy asked me to submit my passport-----confused??

22/06/2009---- Got Visa in Hand

No. They didn't take passport or to submitt it later.

Matter of fact, we got denial letter due to mis-representation. But consulate didn't specify what mis-representation.

Anyway, can we get marry and refile I-130 right away based on their denial ??

Did they took your passport?? or did they ask your fiance to submit it later on??

first of all what i think...you can get married but you cannot reapply like that,,,coz you have to withdraw the K-1 petetion

then you can apply ....and if you wanna apply then DCF is the best option.....

in admin review, you just wait, if u married now you would just cancel everything u have already done, keep checking but most wait months to hear the final. Once (if) your case (ever) comes back to the states then u know its a denial (more or less) and u can decide what to do then but your looking at a time of another year to do the cr1 visa

What is difference between administrative processing and administrative review???

Don't worry about it, we are on a 221G as well. At least you know they are processing you ASAP as soon as you submit necessary items, for us we have to wait to hear from USEM.

Details in my signature.

I was also interview last Feb. 19, 2009-put on AR; but in my case i received a 221g form, no documents asked just saying that WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR FROM US.. till now waiting and waiting!

As far as talking to other members here getting 221G with marked "WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR FROM US" will take long to get your visa. Unlike my case, i got 221G also but just requiring additional docs (Cenomar) and after submitting that cenomar i got my visa in 5 days. Asked your husband or fiance to call the USEM to follow up to get their attention.

I CALLED VFS TODAY AND THEY SAID THEY HAVE RECIVED MY PASSPORT AND THEY WILL COURIER IT TO ME.....OMG!!!

I CANT BELIEVE....I THINK IM DREAMING OR SOMETHING....BUT NO...IT HAPPENED.....IM SOO HAPPY

FINALLY AP IS FINISHED AFTER 19 DAYS.........THANKS LORD!!...

GUYS DONT LOOSE HOPES IT WILL BE DONE SOON....

I called VFS office at new delhi.. They said my passport has been couirerd to me ...

But i called DOS and they said my case is still under admnistrative processing... I dnt knw wats going on???

Do theier system get updated later or what???im confused

Hello everybody,

After my interview for CR1 last August 2, 2011, I was given a 221g letter asking for NBI clearance for my last surname. (i was once married before and became a widow and used that name for long time) .

I'am using now the name of my husband and yet the are still

asking NBI clearance from my last surname?

August 3, 2011 I submitted the passport which was they are asking me to send back together with NBI.

I gave them two NBI one is with the previous last name but it states "vda de" which means (widow) and also another NBI with my current last name with AKA with my other last name..

Does anyone have the same case? They asked to return my passport though which I sent already thru 2GO courier.

Can anyone tell me what will happen next? Does it take long ? I have been reading comments and all they say is wait... I'am so worried...
