How Many Photos??

Something went wrong with my computer yesterday (an Apple IMac) and all my photos I had in Iphoto have been replaced with a huge gray exclamation mark. I do have some photos but I do not have the span that I had in a file for my application to remove conditions.

My question is this: to those who have submitted their petitions - how many photos did you include?

And anybody who has an Apple perhaps know how I can get these photos back?? Some of them are not replacable as I have since cleared my camera memory card of them as I thought they were safely stored on the computer!! :crying: DH says that I am frantic and probably made a silly mistake that has erased the photos. While not yet frantic, I am concerned that we cover all our bases so that we do not get an RFE. This has never happened before with the IMac so I can't imagine what went wrong. We have had it for over a year now.

I just want to be done now with all the paperwork, legalities, keeping track, "evidence", etc. etc. & more etc....

photos are not the best evidence and are not a requirement... there is a lot better evidence types to include

YMMV

I sent 13 photos

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I sent 13 photos

I sent 12 photos, some from trips, some from holidays/family and friends functions, some from just daily. I think 10-15 is enough but it's better to cover the span of the marriage. Also, notation of date and venue for the pictures taken is going to help. May be your friends and family or church have kept some pictures that have both of you, it doesn't hurt to ask.

We sent about 30 photos - in hindsight might've been overkill, but we wanted to compensate for not having as much of the "stronger" evidence such as kids, joint property, mortgage/lease, etc. Plus we never had an AOS interview so this was our first chance to show our wedding pics to USCIS!

Thank you for the replies.

I will be sending pictures from when we were dating, our travels together, our wedding, the house & pics with family & friends. Roughly, 10 - 15 should do, I hope. I have already started asking friends & family to send copies of anything they might have :star:

In addition, I will be sending copies of:

house deed

joint bank account & letter from clerk we always deal with stating when I was added to DH’s account

joint credit cards

'06, '07, '08 tax returns

joint gym membership

joint Sam's club cards

photos: dating –in Taiwan, USA & SA – wedding, post-wedding, with friends & family

3 affidavits

car insurance

health insurance

life insurance beneficiary (me as his ben.)

utilities (none are in both our names though)

family plan with T-Mobile

Copy of earnest money check when we bought our house

Copies of envelopes that contained letters addressed to me from DH when I was in SA and he was here

............................................................

Just might be too much but I think it is better than getting an RFE. The immi. site does say that you can submit as much evidence as you want. Watcha'll think? Too much??

Ahaha you want to talk overkill? I sent like 100 photos. In an album. Totally overkill but the first time around, with my I-485, the interviewing officer gave me ####### for not having enough photos and not enough of the 'right kind' of photos. Take that, USCIS.

I-485 AOS Filing (shortened timeline):

08/25/06 - WEDDING DAY <3

09/14/06 - Medical

09/18/06 - Mailed AOS

10/04/06 - RFE request I-485

10/11/06 - RFE response rec'd by USCIS

10/12/06 - BIOMETRICS done!

11/18/06 - Interview Notice in mail (Day 60)

12/26/06 - *TOUCH* I-765, EAD approval notice sent (Day 98)

12/29/06 - Received EAD, applied for SSN (Day 101)

01/03/07 - *TOUCH* I-130, I-485, I-765 received EAD (Day 106)

01/10/07 - INTERVIEW 9:45am Baltimore! Recommended for approval (Day 113)

05/08/07 - APPROVAL NOTICE & WELCOME TO USA LETTER SENT! (Day 231)

05/14/07 - Received I-130 approval & welcome letter (Day 237)

05/15/07 - Green card ordered (Day 238)

I-751 Filing:

02/06/09 - Mailed I-751! (Day 1)

02/09/09 - I-751 Delivered to Vermont (Day 4)

02/13/09 - NOA 1 (Day 8)

03/06/09 - BIOMETRICS (Day 29)

it looks like you have a pretty good list there.... I wouldn't worry about including more pictures.. just make sure you have evidence spanning the whole marriage....

We're planning on sending about 22 pictures ourselves. Some of it got a bit bloated since there were a few family occasions where we weren't standing/sitting together so I showed the same room with him and some people and me and the same people, or different sides of the room showing him and I, etc.

Did you manage to locate your photo's in the end? It sounds link the photo files were either moved or deleted. If you haven't emptied the trash on your desktop you should check there. If you don't think you deleted them, then they may just be somewhere else on your hard disk if they were moved accidently. You should try doing a search for whatever letters your camera assigns to pictures (mine begins imgp....jpg for example), then try to find the photo's you're missing by date.

Good luck, with the photo's and the 751!

Chris.
