They seem to be for the most part pretty accurate. I am now within the timeframe for mine and I am expecting any day now. Obviously they are not entirely perfect, but for the vast majority of people they have been spot on.

I was within the timeframe for mine last week, and then this weekend I wasn't, and now I am again. I'm hoping now that it doesn't change again and that it's accurate! If so, I could have it within the next week. I really thought it would come last week when my SO was visiting, but hey, I guess managed expectations are better when dealing with this stuff.

Yeah Chelartie...I feel your pain (same NOA1 as you). It's been like WOOHOO then ####### then WOOHOO! VSC = emotional roller coaster

We should be soon.

Managed expectations would be an understatement. It really is a pain in the backside, but it is out of our control so might as well try and be positive and know that it is coming. Look on the brightside you got to see your SO last week. I am jealous of you for that, but in a good way.

Yeah, I think I've been fairly patient since we filed b/c I knew there was nothing to do but wait. But, now that he was here and part of my life here for a bit, I'm over being patient.

I'm a little confused guys. Why did the VSC estimated processing date suddenly jump up to Feb 21st, 2009? I don't see any new approvals on Igor's List past the 17th of Feb. I would expect Igor's list to jump up a few days when there has been a new, more recent approval.

I haven't been a member very long, so this might happen all the time, I just don't know about it. Could you all enlighten me please?

That sucks... Just tell her she is right. "Yup I'm going to hell, what's your point?" She will just shut up!

The other is a tattle tale...a child! you are bigger than that!

Just tell her "yup, I might be going to hell for that...But if I *am* I'll see you there for judging people"...

yaa lee, i called NVC everyday after my approval and they haven't received my case but today they have... I called the USCIS director last week so they must have done something that got the VSC to send my case out to NVC

And how did you manage to call the USCIS director?

I called on Monday. I don't want to clog their phone lines so I will only call once a week. I call the automated service once a day. Today was not my day, but the week is early still. I am keeping my head up and thinking positive.

Lee the automated service will not help you when you are looking for reception from USCIS. You should ask an operator. And they do keep track of calls from what I have read. So I too will call once a week.

You guys notice this? In the last two weeks, only seven people have received their NOA2's. Seven. That's one every other day. I wonder if they are working on other visas right now...especially when you look at the dates of the NOA1's being so random.

1 Jason and Fernanda 2009-01-22 2009-06-18

2 Amanda and Mikkel 2009-02-11 2009-06-15

3 Bryan and Annabelle 2009-02-17 2009-06-15

4 Cory and Kumi 2009-02-08 2009-06-12

5 Davicho and Katy 2009-02-11 2009-06-12

6 AN and AK 2009-02-11 2009-06-12

7 Christina and Todd 2009-01-13 2009-06-11

I think it's a good sign though...any day the flood gates are gonna open and we'll all get our petitions processed! Any day now!

Hi Guys & Gals,

Thought I would drop in and say hello... This thread sure is quiet when I am not chatting it up like a school girl :)

My SO did make it and the border patrol gave her NO issues... and even though they asked to see her return ticket which is for July 8, they gave her until 12/21 to leave.... Go figure?????

Maire... I guess I will see you in hell? :)

Miss you guys, but this is better!!!! LOL

Lee, chin up (and I know it is)

Derek, you too... you and Lee are great for the positive attitude... and it goes a LONG way!

well, gotta go since it hasn't fallen off yet!

Lee, that's cool - I was just curious if you had called at all. I agree, once a week is plenty! And I am not going to try yet, as I think I have 2-3 weeks at least before I can expect action (with a total of 31 approvals in the first 23 days...). I figure your approval will be a good sign for us!.

I think the next call will be different for you! I think next Monday you will call and find out (from the NVC) that you were approved this week...

Did you see the guy who posted that they were approved by the VSC in 22 days? Apparantly not an expedite situation either - that is #######! SHAME on the VSC and USCIS for this. Awesome for the lucky, lucky filers!

I want their receipt number so I can write Michale Aytes to demand an answer to why they can "adjudicate in order" and one filer can be approved in 22 days and the rest of us are not even able to get ANY accurate information on our petitions, let ALONE any approval.

Wow I love all of the support and am grateful for it all. I would like to point out that it is easy to stay positive with all of you to help pick me up. You guys pick me up when everyday I check my mail and there is nothing in it. I have a simple exercise that I do. I let myself get completely pissed and sad at the same time for like five minutes than I take a deep breath and realize that its only a matter of time and I feel better.

Richard I am ecstatic to hear that it hasn't fallen off yet. Don't worry you have a few more weeks to see if it truly is possible. I have faith that you will truly test that particular law of physics. I wish you the best. It is quiet in here when you aren't around, but I think we can pick up our pace to make you proud.

Dave I hope that you are right, although my roommate tells me that Thursday is my day. He has no reason to say it, but just feels that Thursday is right. As for yours I have a feeling a few of us are going to get them in a huge cluster like Derek, Liz, Maire and Rich. At least I hope so. I kind of like the poetic justice of us getting them together. That and we'll all be in the same timeframe for the reunion at Maire's!
