still no biometrics letter?

Nope :( I called the 800 number on the NOA and they are so completely useless. I doubt if those customer rep people have even seen the inside of an immigration office.. bah humbug

I am the most impatient person in the world and this is like torture for me :( And the worst thing is that the mail arrives only after 5pm in my area, and so I am on pins and needles everyday..

Hi Nina Ballerina - we are at the Houston local office too. It shouldn't be too much longer now to your biometrics letters...

By the way, I was also looking at the stats page and it seems like most people get transferred to the CSC from Houston... crossing fingers..

Hi everyone! glad to see everyone moving along.

Bad news for us though. Our package was recieved on 19th feb only to get the entire package back aying it was rejected cuz i needed to submitt either I130 OR I360 OR I797.

The 1st 2 dont apply to me as im doing it from a K1 and i put a photocopy of my NOA2 I797 appproval from k1 visa in the package!!! I even wrote it on the contents and cover page that I included it grrrrrrrr  so thats set us back and now i guess we're not feb filers anymore. so angry that it was their mess up! My package was carefully constructed with a contents page and a cover letter for each application!

Im sending it in 2morrow and putting a contents page in BOLD size 22 font and about 9 of my noa2s in it grrrrrrr :blink:

hey cca! that sucks that they returned it to you, i'm so sorry! i wonder how they got confused about what you were applying for... did you put i-485 original submission on the cover letter and envelope? i hope it all goes smoothly for you this time. :)

Hi! yea i put cover letter saying AOS from k1 visa and then i put contents page after tht and then with every different application eg I485, Advanced parole ect i put another cover letter/cotents so really dont know how they got mixed up grrr. Does this ound right to you? any suggestions? I mustve had an 80yr old man who couldnt read :lol:

i think as long as you clearly mark it I-485 original submission it should be fine. apparently you're supposed to write it on the envelope too but i forgot

here's hoping it goes ok this time. i think we can still count you as a february filer. ;)

I hope this moves faster, and my case gets transferred to CSC too. I think they will scrutinize my case more because I came here as a student and met my husband while we were at school together.. My husband is Hispanic and I am Asian.. I read somewhere in this forums that they might scrutinize a bit more if it is an interracial marriage.

Well we got the appointment letter for biometrics today. It's scheduled for 3/14 which is a Saturday. While I'm not complaining, Saturday is a perfect time, it just strikes me as odd. Did anyone else get a weekend time for their biometric? I'm worried its a typo and were going to end up showing up on the wrong day and having our submission get entered as abandoned.

We received two separate biometrics letters (AOS & EAD) - one was for today and the other was on the following Saturday.

When we went to the first appointment (today) we took a look at the hours written on the door, it did indicate that they were open on Saturdays. At first I didn't believe it. They were nice enough to take care of both notices for us today though.
