We were on a cruise vacation down there in October - only thing I really didn't like was how all the tour guides would try to steer you towards overpriced stores to buy diamonds and overpriced jewelry.

:o you went to Mexico! OMG! you are such an adventurer! :P

Seriously now, good for you! there are some people here that are afraid of their own shadow. Moreover, they are afraid of their own shadow, of foreigners, of the economy, or terrorists, or the neighbor, of drugs, of everything and that's how you can control people, using fear...

To stop being a wuss, I went to Juarez yesterday after 4 months of self-containment. I wanted to see if the media had played with my sense of security and yeap I came to the conclusion that besides being a sheep, I was a scared sheep. Sure enough I went to the nice parts of town, ate in a restaurant, had a cup of coffee with one of my best friend and realized that over there is business as usual, no sign of the apparent "Fall" of Mexico that media and legislators are warning us about at this side of the border, I didn't get shot nor see anyboyd getting shot.

I know there was going to be gunshots at some point in time, the city is huge with at least 1 million people that out of that million, there is a great manpower behind this drug business (principles of economy can also be applied here) there has to be a huge supply, if there is a great demand from the US. Those being killed (mexican or US citizens) are mostly drug dealers who work for a certain cartel and are being killed by the rival cartel or because a deal went bad and a couple of poor bystanders as well.

If there is money involved, LOTS of money, of course is going to look appealing to a LOT of people. Thank the US' addiction to drugs and Mexico's failure on education and production of jobs.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Do they open late, close early, and are the coffee machines always empty?

That's how the Indian-run 7 11's are here.

Not really, some of them are open 24-hrs. I don't complain, since it's an American company (shh don't tell anybody but it's own by Japanese) they gotta take care of their reputation.

So you went to provide material evidence for him to cross illegally. VJ Minutemen will report this.

shhhhh  I'm afraid of my shadow, don't you think I'm afraid of the VJ Minutemen?

Besides you gotta thank me that I didn't write a huge blog style post like Ken when he goes to Tijuana w/pictures and shite. Even describing the smell of the bus he rode on the way there, the quality of the fruit cocktail he bought from the lady in the street and the speed the ice in his soda melted

Perhaps the only reason you shouldn't be terrified of them is that they may likely drop dead of heart attacks from all the loudmouthing and stressing out like they do... but for the rest be afraid. Very afraid.

As for Ken... well... some of those details are appreciated.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
