It is my understanding that the lawyer will get the RFE. I didn't get my NOA1, my lawyer did and then he sent it to me.

I noticed that my NOA1 went to the lawyer. After that I signed up on the USCIS and now the Notices have been coming to me and not the lawyer.

My lawyer just asked me to send the notices to him as I get them.

Hope that helps.

my lawyer said he would get the RFE and then send it to me. I hope he uses express mail....I have to call him back and make sure cause I want to get in line fast.

so would my online status on usisc say that an RFE has been issued , cause right now it says my case has been transfered to cali..

I don't think they will actually post on the website that the RFE has been issued - that would be very logical and helpful and they don't work that way. Most likely you will notice a date change in reference to the "last update" online and that will be it aside from what you or your lawyer receive in the mail. But who knows, maybe they'll surprise us all and send the RFEs via email (5 copies of the same email and 2 or 3 hard copies via regular mail is their usual method).
