I have met a Philippine women from the Philippines. I met her online. I went to see her in the philipines. I recently came back after a 2 week stay in Dasma, Cavite. We are in love with each other! She wants to come here to be with me now, but I am not sure how to do all the things I need to do to get her here. I dont know what consulute I need to go to or if I need to go to homeland securtiy office or where. I am in the states now in California. I am not sure also if I need to get a visitors visa or if I need to sponser her. I know very little about the process, could someone please help us. We are lonely for each other and it has only been 3 days since I left.

Sincerly,

John

All this info you seek can be found here on the site or links. I would suggest instead of asking to do searches and look at the guides and then also to go to the regional forums and find your country where others from the same country are at and read and see what they had to do. After doing all this then start asking questions.

and the sooner you remove your emotions from this process and get down to the business side the better off you will be... It is a very long process. We have all experienced the separation incumbent in this process.

Fell into the same trap as me?

You'll probably want a K-1 or K-3 visa. K-1 is faster but she'll have to marry you in the US. The other posters are correct. Read all the stuff at the top of the webpage for some beginner's knowledge.

Hmmm, now I am very slow, damn slow, you accomplished in two weeks what took us two years to do!

Wonder how two weeks will look when applying for a K1?

Initially, no bearing at all whatsoever.... USCIS does not care about a relationship length of two days, two weeks or two years.... The OP has 7 - 9 months to deal with the bonafides of the relationship...

YMMV

All cases are different but as a general rule you could have her here in a year or less with that Embassy. There are some Countries that after a year you're just getting warmed up. Better start reading Romeo!

Here's a link to the VJ page that shows timelines for The Phillipines out of The California Service Center:

True. As this process goes along it will definately shake out if they have the patience it takes.

We have been talking online since Dec 10 of 2008 everynight. I have rented a place for her to live in for now, we will make it I am sure. I also, have been there to see her and we are inseperable when we are together.

SO I take it I need to speak with the Manilla Embassy to get the paperwork and to get the KI form to get started.

I do appreciate your patients with me as I am new to this.

No. The Embassy is a long way off in you Visa Journey. Here's the k-1 guide:

You may want a board organizer to move this into the K-1 section. This is Off Topic. We only come here to "debate" stuff.

There's also a Regional Forum for The Philippines:

and a Newbie K-1 Guide that is Manila specific:

Okay, I see i can get the forms on this site good.

I have another Question, She is married but has been seperated for 3 1/2 years from her spouse. She also has a soon to be 7 year old that lives with her parents. I know divorce is not allowed there. How will this affect her coming here, or how will effect her if we get married here.

That's a question for the Regional Board, though alienlovechild may be able to answer it.
