where is every body ? any news latly

I'm here, just been very busy lately. Trying to look for a second or part time job.

I went to NJ DMV yesterday. I showed them the I-797 NOA, hoping that they could replace my driver's license with one that will not have "temporary immigrant status" in front of the card.

It is a problem with employers, but the lady from DMV told me that they need a green card or EAD without expiration.

Anyway, I received an e-mail that my AOS was transferred from VT to MO, and according to my lawyer, we just need to wait for interview schedule.

Good luck to all of us and GOD BLESS.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Did you send an I-485 along with your pettition??? I'm just curios about what's next

Yesterday i received Email from uscis that my vawa petition got approved. after such a long and sad time I am sooooooo happy. My 1-360 took 15 months and 20 days to be approved. Thank God.

Hi, mine took 15 months also.

vawa-2006 told me to her attorney contacted USCIS for adjust status interview.

Will remind my attorney to do the same.

Ex-wife of abusive USC. Filing VAWA

Prior Status: F1, NYC

Aug 06: Married USC (US born, raised in my country)

Apr 07: Filed I-130/I-485/I-765

May 07: RD for I-130/I-485/I-765

Jun 07: Biometrics for I-485/I-765

Aug 07: Assaulted by USC (1 out of many) - USC arrested, 2nd degree assault. Controlling USC constantly reminded me that he could have me deported at his will (emails, text msgs, voicemails saved)

Sep 07: Interview for I-485, both didn't show. USC calls & writes immigration to withdraw.

Oct - Dec 07: Orders of protection, police reports, moved out with nothing, trying to start my life over.

Dec 07: USC filed annulment saying i refuse to have kids & I married him for greencard. Contested. 1yr later, he withdrew & refilled on abandonment.

Jun 08: Filed I-360, VAWA

July 08: RD for Prima Facie Determination - 180 days

Aug 08: Criminal & Family court still on - Final Order of protection (USC pleads guilty)

Sep 08: Filed I-765 based on pending I-485

Oct 08: Biometrics for I-765

Apr 09: Divorce final

Oct 7, 09: I-360 approved So happy & thankful to God cos i have waited, prayed & hoped for so long.

EWTN, I wish I had some new advice to offer. I really feel for you. What does your attorney say, that you should keep waiting? If I were you I would besiege vermont with letters, I would write one every week. I really wish for the best for you, I know how frustrating it is.

On my side, my I 131 application got approved, but i intend to stay put, following on advice i have seen here.

Thanks Mona Lisa! I think my case is going to be a RECORD in this forum. I haven't heard anyone whose their case hasn't been approved after 20 months of filing. It's just unbelievable that there is no touches, no RFE, no decision, nothing on my case . . Sometimes I think it got lost at Vermont office. I'm exhausted of waiting, I really am...

Have a blessed weekend to all
